*** The eerie light rippled around the portal, wrapping me in an unsettling uncertainty. I glared at it as if blaming it for my doubts. Hardening my resolve, I recheck my possessions. I then check on my companions, who I shrank to fit through the door of my magically enlarged (on the inside) bag for safe and comfortable transport. I look back one last time, waving to my friends, my family who all smile sadly waving back. They were no doubt remembering our time together. I look behind them to my home away from home, Hogwarts. I turn around facing the shimmering path to my new life. Only the thought of my friends, no family, visiting comforts me. I step through ready to face the unknown.
