I get to Santa's factory twenty minutes late.
"Where in Santa's sleigh have you been Jack?" barked Santa.
"Sorry Santa, I kind of woke up late..." I reply sheepishly.
"Well you're here now so I guess thats what matters" mumbles Santa.
"So what's the new project you have for me today boss?" I ask excitedly.
"We'll I've thought for a while about something that someone as idiotic as you could handle. I've recently realized that you and Jamie, well most kids in your neighborhood, have a strong bond. I realized that you treat Jamie like a little brother, and you make each other happy."
"Um are you saying i have to adopt Jamie? Are you saying we should get married? Because I'm really confused here." I joke.
"No I'm not saying to marry Jamie, Im saying that-"
"Good because Jamie is a bit too childish for my taste. Ha you get it? Because he's a...child...sorry continue" I say, trying to compose myself.
"As I was saying..." barked Santa.
"I'm saying that you are really good at making people happy, so I did a little research. Here is a list of people your age and younger who are unhappy; your job is to hang out with them until you're able to bring happiness to them." Santa explains before handing me a list of names.
"So basically you want me to be a pity friend and make everyone happy?"
"Well when you put it like that it sounds terrible, but basically yes. You are meant to be there for them at the time of sorrow. But you must not get to attached." He warns.
"I'll try sir, this is going to be a piece of cake." I shrug off.
"I'm glad you think so Jack, but this is probably going to impact the rest of your life in a big way." I furrow my eyebrows at this statement, which only makes him chuckle.
"So give me details on the person I'm making happy again."
"Well this young girl comes from the Kingdom of Arendelle, she is upset because she is cold, hungry, and worried about the kingdoms queen. Actually there are a bunch of children in Arendelle that are unhappy. Maybe you can try to make them all feel better at once. I don't think your frost powers are going to work on this crowd though..."
"Why not?" I ask curiously.
"You will see soon enough." Santa chuckles.
"Why are there so many unhappy children there Santa?"
"We need you Santa, the elfs have destroyed several toys mate." Interrupts the Easter Bunny urgently. I gave him a small salute which he returns before exiting the room with Santa.
Off to Arendelle, the most depressing kingdom in the world!
I locate Santa's snow globe and make a portal to Arendelle.
Here we go.
