Prelude:

I don't remember much about my family or who they are, what they do, or if they're dead or alive. From what I was told, my parents gave me up right after I was born. Saint Virtue's Orphanage was where I spent most of my time, living with other children and three nuns; Sister Deborah, Sister Nancy, and Sister Felicity — all wonderful godly women caring for infants to twelve-year-olds. We were taught the word of God and the story of Lucifer. But who would've known that I was the child of a man worse than the devil himself?

Today I turn 19-years-old, which meant I had to leave Saint Virtue's Orphanage for good. I was too old. A young-adult. They never told me I would be living in the streets and eating left over food from trash cans and even dumpsters. But that's how I've been surviving. It broke my heart to leave the only place I've known. The only place that gave a damn whether or not you had a booboo or was sad.

Today, I leave my home.

"Sky?"

My heart dropped as I slowly shifted around and became face-to-face with the devil himself.

"Dad?"
