The Villians Daughter (Carlos X OC)

Part 1

Lexi's point of view

I was running through the woods. I had a group of bandits on my tail.

"Get back here, girl!" One of them shouted

I kept running. I wasn't watching where I was going. I tripped over a tree root. I tryed to stand up but my ankle was in pain.

'Fuck. I sprained my ankle.' I thought

I could see the bandits coming for me. Suddenly there were three gunshots. The bandits fell to the ground dead.

Two men came out of the woods. One was a farm boy around my age. He had brown hair and an orange sweater. The other was an older man. He was wearing green and carried a rifle.

"You okay?" The farm boy asked

"I sprained my ankle. But other than that I'm okay." I answered

"We have a doctor in our group that can look at that."

The farm boy came over to me and helped me stand up.

"Thanks." I told him

"Don't metion it."

"I'm Lexi by the way."

"I'm Luke."

"And I'm Pete." The old man added

One hour later

We finally made it back to their cabin. Luke helped me get inside. When we got in I saw a teenage girl and a spanish guy. They turned and looked at us.

"Luke, who's she?" The girl asked

"This is Lexi." Luke answered

"Hi. I'm Sarah. That's my dad." She pointed at the man next to her

"I'm Carlos." He introduced himself

"Hi." I smiled at the two

Sarah looked at her father.

"I'm going to go upstairs and read my book."

"Okay sweetie."

I looked over and realized Pete left the room. Luke helped me walk over to the couch and sit down.

"What happened to your ankle?" Carlos asked me

"I was running in the woods and tripped over a tree root. Sprained my ankle."

"I'm a doctor. Can I take a look?"

"Yeah. Go ahead."

"I'm gonna go upstairs and take a shower." Luke told us

Carlos nodded and Luke left. Carlos started poking at my ankle.

"How old are you?" He asked

"Twenty four. I had graduated collage when this started."

"What did you study?"

"I was actually in medical school. Wanted to be a doctor."

"Finally someone else with medical experience. It seems like these guys don't even know basic first aid."

I looked over and saw he was next to me. I didn't even realize he was done.

"They probably freak out at a papercut."

He chuckled

"Basically. If I ever get sick they go into a full panic. It's actually funny to watch."

"Sounds funny."

"Last time I got sick Luke and another guy named Nick were both running around trying to figure out how to help me. They ended up running into eachother and they both got concussions."

I laughed

"That's hilarious."

'I think I'm going to like this group.'
