When I reached a large house,
with colourful fluorescent lights
beaming out from the windows,
I gulped nervously.

Why did I agree to come to a party like
this? I didn't enjoy them, I didn't like loud
noises nor dubstep music, I didn't like being
around many people, and, I did not find any
fun in socialising with people.

A shaky sigh managed to come
out of my mouth as I held onto
the handle to open the car door.
However, my mother noticed
this.

"Hey sweetie,
do you not want
to be here?"

"H-huh? What makes you think that?"
My mouth tried to form a smile, but I
looked suspiciously anxious.

"You know, if you don't
wanna be here, we can go
home." She offered.

"N-no!"

Her eyes widened.
I covered my mouth
embarrassed.

"I-I'm sorry mum for
shouting, i-it's just I really
w-wanna do this..."

"Shhhh, it's okay,
I understand." She
simpered.

"Now, what are you waiting
for? There's a party up ahead
Mr. Jung!"

"Ahaha,
bye mama!"

"Farewell,
my Sir Jung!"

I giggled before getting out
of the car to walk to the front
door of the huge building
before me.

I tried to swallow my fears
away. When my hand started
slowly inching closer towards
the doorbell, a loud honk was
heard.

It was my mother, giving me a
reassuring and encouraging thumbs
up.

"Have fun, honey!" She
shouted to me.

I smiled, before I
pressed on the bell.

The door opened,
and out came a very
happy face, my friend.

"Ah, Hoseok! You've
finally arrived!"

"Y-yeah..."

"Come in!"

Before I stepped foot inside,
I turned my head back, hoping
to see my mother's beautiful and
confident gaze, but it was nowhere
to be seen.

She'd already left and I
hadn't realised it.

"Sure, yeah,
o-okay..."

I said before I stepped into a crazy,
loud and bright room, filled with tons
of shadows and bodies.

I didn't feel
so well.
