shauna's diary entry #35

today was the beginning of a new hoseok and shauna.

after hoseok's mother had left, we both let out a sigh of relief because she truly was a woman who talked too much. we leaned back on the couch with his arm around my shoulder tiredly.

"you know how you pretended to be my girlfriend?" hoseok said- his thigh bumping into mine. "was that a sign?"

"sign for what?"

"that you like me back?"

i scoffed and nudged him playfully. "don't get your hopes up."

"I'm kidding." i added quickly and leaned forward so my hair would cover the clear shyness on my face. "I always have."

but i no longer wanted to be shy- i wanted to take a leap of faith because that's exactly what hoseok had taught me. which is why i leaned into his arms and caressed his cheek with my hand.

"and now I love you."

and my confession made the boy who stole my heart and gave me a home, lean forward and kiss me with the kind of affection i had never been given. "i love you more. finally shauna .. i've been waiting for so long! why would you make me suffer-"

"oh shut up." we smiled through the kiss.

i am no longer homeless.
