20th Wedding Anniversary
King William, Queen Adrienne mark 20th anniversary with new portraits
(CNN)New portraits of King William and his wife, Queen Adrienne, were released Monday to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.
The British monarch and his wife were married on 29th April 2011 when they were still Prince William and Princess Adrienne, at Westminster Abbey in the heart of London.
The wedding attracted worldwide attention and came just seventeen years before William would ascend the throne following Queen Elizabeth II giving up the throne in his favor.
The special 20th anniversary portraits were taken in the White Drawing Room of Windsor Castle in early April.
In the photos, Queen Adrienne is wearing a cream day dress designed by Alexander McQueen.
