Lauren's POV

I sat there awkwardly at the table, my cheeks still red as I kept my eyes on my drink. Camila, Dinah, and Normani were engaged in conversation. Camila would occasionally glance in my direction and flash me that fucking smile of hers, which made my knees weak and my stomach flip.

I really couldn't believe that I had said all of that in front of her. Now she is sure to know I have a major girl crush on her. Ugh..I wish I could just crawl into a hole and spend the rest of my days there.

Dinah was really nice, she attempted to make me laugh the first part of the night. And I could tell she really cared about my best friend. She was constantly rubbing her back or tucking her hair behind her ear or even just holding her.

I couldn't help but to crave for that as well. I looked over at Camila as she laughed at something Dinah said and I felt myself smile. She was genuinely beautiful. Like how the hell could God create someone so perfect and put her in my world but with a girlfriend? Like was he trying to kill me?

"Lauren, are you okay?"

I looked up from my drink and turned my head to look at Camila, who was significantly close to my face now. She looked at me with a look of concern, her eyes narrowed slightly. I could feel her breath on my lips and I had to keep myself from noticeably gulping.

"Huh?" was all I was able to muster up.

"Are you okay? You're kind of quiet," Camila said.

"Oh uh, yeah. I'm fine. I'm just a little tired and I have an early day tomorrow. I just want to go home to be honest," I partially lied. I was tired and I did have to go into the shop early the next morning but I didn't really want to go home. I just didn't want to tell the young teacher that my thoughts were on her.

"Then why don't you?" Camila leaned back slightly and I had to admit I was a little disappointed but I didn't say anything because she had a girlfriend and I had to respect that.

"Normani is my ride and I don't think she's ready to leave just yet," I said as I glanced over in my best friend's direction, smiling softly at the sight of her and Dinah lip locked in a passionate kiss.

"I can give you a ride," Camila shrugged, "I'm feeling kind of tired myself. I should be getting home anyways."

"Are you sure? I don't want to put you out of your way," I said. Also I'm not sure I'm ready to be alone in a car with you but I'm just going to keep that to myself.

Camila just smiled at me before clearing her throat, "Hey, DJ. I'm gonna take Lauren home then go home myself. You alright here?"

Dinah didn't come up from the kiss she had with Normani, instead she just held her thumb up and waved us on. Camila rolled her eyes and I giggled. Camila looked at me, raising an eyebrow.

"Ready to go, then?"

"Yeah," I nodded my head silently, slipping out of the booth. Camila followed after me and she grabbed my hand, leading me through the crowd of people. I knew she was only holding my hand so that we didn't lose each other in the crowd but I still couldn't help but feel electricity shoot up my arm at the feeling of her hand in mine.

We walked out of the club together and once we were outside she let my hand go. I felt a shiver run up my spine at the cold air that was blowing around us and I wrapped my arms around myself. I really should have thrown a jacket on. But I couldn't find a cute enough jacket to go with the black dress I was wearing.
