A little after a week since Justin's party invitation, things have been going pretty smoothly. Harry's been making friends and learning about his new school. Bailey hasn't been bullied by Veronica since Harry's locker is just across the hall from her. Peter and Bailey have been working on the finishing touches of their project thats due on Friday. Ned and Michelle are helping Harry and Bailey to get into the Decathlon team and Peter hasn't had any crazy Spider-Man catastrophes. This is the perfect situation for something to get thrown in the mix and stuff everything up.

Bailey was as Peter's house again to attempt to finish their project without any difficulties, but secretly they both want to talk about what they're both hiding. Bailey is still extremely terrified of opening up about her situation at home and Peter isn't keen on many people knowing about his 'internship' but something keeps pulling him to tell Bailey.

Bailey clung to her head suddenly, groaning a little.

"Hey, you okay?" Peter said turning away from his computer.

"Yeah-I'm fine. Do you have any Advil?" Bailey said with a pained face.

"Yeah, one sec I'll go grab them for you." Peter said leaving to ask May for some tablets. Meanwhile, Bailey's pain was only increasing. She stood up and began swinging her head around. Nothing was clearing up. She let out a little yelp as she hit her head on the base of Peter's bed. Peter came rushing in after the noise to see Bailey on her knees with her head in her hands.

"Is everything ok? What's going on?" Peter said sitting down, handing Bailey the tablets and some water. Her hands shook as she tried to take the tablets. Peter watched her struggle with fear. After she forced herself to swallow, she calmed down.

"Thank you Peter, I'm fine now." She said, her voice shaky. She was sweating like crazy and her face was pale.

"What was that? What just happened?" He asked, clearly still worried for her.

"I, I don't know. Lately I've just been getting these really intense headaches." Bailey replied pretty confused herself.

"Wow, um... Have you gone to see a doctor about it?"

"Yeah actually, my brother took me and all tests came back normal. The doctor said that I was fine." Bailey knew that her case was more than medical, but she pushed it aside and treated it as if it was. She didn't want to accept what could be her fate. Bailey did not want to talk about whatever had just happened to her, she needed to talk about something to get her mind off of it.

"Peter, c-can I ask you something?" Bailey asked shakily.

"Of course."

"If hypothetically, your friend had some problems at home and they had no where to turn, would you let them stay with you until things got sorted out?"

"Well, yeah. If they trust me and I trust them and they understand that I understand what they're going through and I want to help them, then yes. Absolutely." Peter smiled.

"That's nice to know... very sweet of you, Peter."

"Bailey can I ask you a question?"

"Yeah?"

"How hypothetical was that question?" Bailey just stared at Peter, frozen in fear. She thought that she could do it but maybe she was wrong. She just felt the butterflies flood her stomach all over again.

"It was very hypothetical, Peter. I just ask to see what kind of a person you are." Bailey tried to casually prove her untrue point. Peter wasn't going to press her to tell him because he knew that she wasn't ready. He wanted to be the best of what he could be. Peter turned to computer to save their work and claim it as completed. They were all set for their presentation.

"Well, what do you wanna do now?" Bailey asked.

"We could order pizza and play a little video games?" Peter suggested with a toothy grin. Bailey couldn't resist his killer smile and agreed. They screamed and cheered each other, living their best teenage years. Bailey couldn't agree more that she always had the best times with Peter. It beats her middle school with Veronica; though that was a pretty toxic relationship and still is to this day. Though she enjoyed her time with Ned, Michelle and Harry, Peter always made her feel some sort of way. After all, he was the one that rescued her from her grief.

Bailey's phone began to buzz, interrupting her state of euphoria. It was Chase.

"Hello?"

"Bailey, dad says you have to come home now. He also wants to know where you've been going after school for the last couple of weeks so you better have a fool-proof excuse ready." Came Chase's deep voice.

"Ok, I'll head back now. Love you, bye." Bailey hung up and stood up.

"My brother says I have to go home now so, I'll see you tomorrow-" Bailey tried.

"No wait! Let me walk you home. It's getting dark outside." Peter offered, trying to spend as much time with Bailey as he possibly could.

"Oh, thanks. Just wait here first, I need to tell May something." Bailey said dropping her bag and heading into the kitchen. Peter let her go, not wanting to keep questioning. Bailey was sweating, clearly nervous. Approaching May, she did it. She managed to open up to May about her situation at home and May was obviously understanding and consoling her. May made it very clear that Bailey could come over whenever she needed to and that she was just a call away. Bailey also begged May to not tell Peter and that she would tell him when she was ready. It was a pretty solid foundation.

Bailey and Peter exited his apartment and began their stroll to Bailey's house. Most of the time they were silent, just enjoying the soft autumn breeze. Each of them had an earphone hanging from their ear, listening to the chill tunes. While walking, Bailey did something she never thought she could do. She reached out, slowly interlocking her hand with Peter's. She didn't look down, she just did it spontaneously. Peter was surprised and confused; he obviously accepted her hand and held on. He felt his stomach parade with butterflies and looked away so Bailey couldn't see his red face. They continued to walk like this, not saying a word, all the way to Bailey's house.

Reaching the door, Bailey pulled her earphone out of her ear; Peter following suit. Her eyes smiled as she rubbed Peter's hand a little. Then, she let go. The warmth escaped her grasp from Peter's hand.

"I'll see you tomorrow Peter," She said before heading inside her house. Peter didn't know what to say. He was so stunned as to what just happened. He smiled to himself as he walked away from Bailey's porch. He felt so complete after experiencing whatever that was with Bailey. He was happy.
