Chapter 14

Visiting the parents is always great since we moved in to the pack house. I like having our own home to fill but I miss being around my parents. I miss them all the time.

"So lets see we have four down, now all we need is one more. Any suggestions? Rhiver? Do you have any? We all picked one I think you should pick the last one." Uncle Brandy suggests with a smile while taking a seat next to papa and daddy, who are cuddle up in the corner of the couch.

I hum lowly as I glance over at Sage, watching silently as he responds to emails on his cell. I never really thought of a name. Lets see, they are all boys. We have Apollo, Hades, Nathan, and Shiloh thats four.

<Hey Odele, do you have a name?> I ask curiously, I'm honestly clueless on a name but I know we need one.

<I like the name Wyatt, what about that? Or Zane? After papa wolf?> Odele replies happily while purring deeply.

Someone is happy. I like the idea of Zane after our papa wolf but the name wynter has just been floating around my head for months. Blaze and Sage absolutely shut down the name when I proposed it, but even so I just can't seem to shake it.

I release a short breath of air when a piercing pain shoots through my abdomen. Before I even had the chance to shift around comfortably Sage moved from the couched to my side, rubbing my stomach with a worried look. I nuzzle my snout against his arm with a whine as he pushes his hand against my tense muscles.

<Rhiver? Is it time?> Sage asks with concern ignoring the troubled questions coming from the group across from us.

<I-I'm not su-> Another wave a pain floods throughout my body pulling a whimper from my clenched muzzle. Fuck this hurts, I can't see how daddy dealt with this type of pain.

Odele growls deeply within my head when our parents move from their seated positions and make their way over to my side. My hackles raise in defense as daddy reaches out to touch my head. I try to calm myself, knowing that daddy won't hurt me but Odele continues to growl lowly.

<Odele! What in hell's name are you doing? Those are our parents.> I stress

<Mine!> He howls back before forcibly taking control and howling out the moment daddy makes contact with our swollen belly. Odele pushes himself against the couch and snaps his jaws at daddy's small wrist. Papa managed to the snatch daddy's arms out of the way before pushing him behind and away from us.

"Alright. Brandy slowly get up and go open the door. Don't make any sudden movements or Sage might attack. Rhiver, you're going into labor. The wolf always takes over when its time for birth. Especially when in wolf form. Don't try to take control back just let Odele get you through the process ok? Sage, Are you still with me?" Papa orders after standing

Sage groans loudly almost as if in pain but he managed a stiff nod. Papa sighs happily before taking a step back.

"Alright. You need to let Blaze know to meet you guys at Rhiver's nest. We can't go with you or Zeus and Malachi will attack us. Just let them lead, as I told Rhiver. Now shift and get your mate to his nest." Without a second delay Sage shifts in to his huge silver and white wolf. Odele's attention instantly moves over to his mate and he purrs softly. Malachi purrs in response as he nudges Odele's side inciting for him to get up. It takes a moment but Odele manages to get the strength to lift our heavy body off of the ground. Malachi snarls lowly at our parents as Odele limps his way to the now open front door.

Even with me being out of control I can still feel slight pains from the contractions. There's barely any time between them and from what I can remember Odele built the nest in the clearing. It's a good ways away from the house but I'm sure we can make it. With Malachi at our side Odele and our mate make their way to the clearing. Halfway to our destination a loud howl cuts through the trees. It's Blaze and he sounds like he's already made to the nest. Odele picks up the pace along with Malachi. The moment they broke through the treeline into the clearing Odele's back legs gave out with a yelp from a strong crash of pain. Malachi and Zeus both whine at the sight of their mate before rushing over to us and trying to help Odele back up. Odele pants heavily once he's off the ground, Malachi and Zeus using their muzzles to keep his back legs from giving out.
