HALLOWEEN
5pm on the 31st of October
taehyung and jungkook's apartment.
the boys play dress up

it was the day of halloween. the moon was creeping up behind the mountains and the sky faded into shades of sunset orange and hot pink. creatures crept out from their hiding places and prowled the streets for all to see, wearing their gruesome faces with pride, flaunting their supernatural appearances. it was the one day a year they would fit in among the special effects and body paint covered humans.

jungkook sat on his giggling boyfriend's lap as he applied hues of magenta and tangerine on his closed eyelids.  taehyung's lips were pulled into a heartfelt smile and his shoulders lifted with silent laughter. what was so funny you may ask? the vampire had found it quite hilarious that jungkook's plan was to turn him into a 'sunkissed bronze, sun god that was also vampire'. 

love lies by khalid & normani was playing softly in to background that painted the silence like a love soft whisper. the plum haired boy- or shall we say cherry, his hair had faded since he last dyed it- bit his lower lip and a crease formed between his brows in concentration. between his fingers he tightly clutches a blending brush as he attempts to blend a shade of plum into taehyung's eyelid crease and in his left hand he holds an eyeshadow palette. 

"okay babe, you know i love your creativity and amazing make up skills but where did you get sunkissed sunset vampire from." taehyung couldn't hold it in anymore, hearty laughter emerges from his lips and jungkook rolls his eyes at the boy but couldn't hide the tender smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. 

"i wanted to try something different, moonlight. since you insist that we just go as ourselves i wanted to jazz things up a bit. like the humans do, spend the night as something we're not." he states with a chuckle. "besides, i've been practicing by doing dami's eyeshadow and i want to try something crazy."  

"then what will you go as? icy werewolf? ooh, fairy wolf?" 

 the cherry haired boy shrugged. "i don't know, i just really don't want you to do that same old trashy vampire thing you did last year. "

"it wasn't that bad!" the vampire protests but he could hardly take himself seriously, his costume was so half-assed that previous year. back then he didn't have his own private make up artist. speaking of which...

"oh right!" jungkook calls out in realization as he taps his brush into the shimmery bronze shadow."i can't believe we forgot! we met last year on halloween! remember, hyungwon's party? we both got locked in the basement?"

"wow, it's really been a year." taehyung's eyes widen but he immediately regrets it as jungkook accidentally pokes him in the eye.

"sorry babe!" jungkook gasps and kisses taehyung quickly on the forehead. the pinkette blinks a few times but laughs it off.

"s'okay kookie." 

the werewolf resumes packing sunset shades of power onto and around taehyung's eyes. the two of them didn't wear make up often, mostly because they couldn't be bothered, but jungkook was very passionate about halloween. he had been practicing all year and was finally confident enough to put his skills to the test. he was determined to make taehyung the best sunkissed sun god vampire of all time. whatever that was supposed to mean.

two hours later the sun had slipped away from sight and the world was bright from the moonlight. dazzling stars like salt flakes against the night sky. the boys were dressed and ready to head out to the pack halloween party. their hair styled and their eyes twinkling.

taehyung; a sunset of colours on his eyelids and his lips stained with a crimson red, similar to the colour of his eye. wearing a mostly black outfit consisting of a white frilly button down that was stained with fake blood, slacks and a glittering, sequined blazer that caught the light beautifully. a small amount of fake blood was placed on his cheeks and at the corner of his mouth.his ruby red eyes glittered in the artificial room light and jewelry sparkled along his wrists. the first few buttons of his shirt unbuttoned to expose the neat bite mark on his neck.

jungkook; his eyes brushed over with shades of purple. lilac, violet, plum, lavender, amethyst, wine, anything really. his lips were tinted a soft pink, sweet and dazzling. flecks of gold brushed along his cheekbones and white butterfly stickers on each cheek. his eyes glowed a regal shade of warm gold, like molten metal. he wears a blue suit and a white, somewhat see though, shirt underneath. his cherry pink hair was wavy, flowers and fake butterflies pinned in his soft locks along with fake wolf's ears that taehyung had encouraged him to wear. his mark was too, exposed from under his shirt.

the couple smiled at each other, taking in the appearance of one before them. they laughed together, they were happy. together they walked out the front door and to the pack house. admiring the halloween decorations around the neighbourhood. they entered the party with bright neon lights and spent the night having fun with their friends.

it was such a strange thought that exactly one year ago they had met. taehyung, dressed as a tacky vampire and jungkook, dressed as a werewolf. locked inside an acquaintance's basement spent giggling and getting to know one another. who would have known that one year later they would be laughing in each other's arms with tender love in their hearts.

AYO, i did it. i seriously loveee this chapter, mostly because of their halloween costumes but...aah. also, now you guys know how they met! 

their costumes were actually inspired by two make up looks i did this year so hehehe;

sorry this was a little late, the wifi shut down and i couldn't finish.
