It started simple
One flicker of fire
From within the chambers of your heart
To the untrained eyes,
They were merely flesh beneath your clothed body,
To a lifelong masquerader like me;
A traveller with a façade,
An ancient soul with a lost cause,

Trying to find my purpose again,
Desperately trying to fulfil my quest,
I saw a soul,
From within you,
A flicker of fire,
But in a form of light,
A profound divinity cast into you by the
H E A V E N S.

An anguished and tortured soul,
That has to live for eons,
Now entombed into a mortal physique,
Forever cursed to carry out mundane affairs,
For the rest of his natural damned life.

Fooling the minds of many,
All except for one,
The soft eyes that belong to a wanderer,
A seeker of lost treasure,
Found her most precious item,
Not one that could be led to by an almost tearing map.

When their eyes meet,
For the first time,
In this foul lifetime,
She immediately knew,
There was something deeper,
Something richer, and beyond their finite understanding

Concerning the nature of their connection
Something that the universe has tried so hard to conceal
And still trying strenuously to keep it hidden
As it should be, or pre-destined.

They could not make sense of it,
The bond that was formed was too pure of nature but strong,
Quaint but faint, at the same time,
A true paradox by character,
That was how their affair was like.

Were they merely friends?
- Or just lovers?
- Strangers or acquaintances?
- Or just two lost souls trying to find a place in this world?

Despite their lack of understanding,
There was one thing that was certain,
That can never be questioned,
Home was found
Upon their first meeting
In the eyes of the lost wanderer and the traveller
Merely presence was enough
To satisfy a deep thirst
Just a quench of their act
Was enough to satisfy a lifetime long of hunger
They can never understand the nature of their relationship
As to what roles were they to play in each other's life,
But one thing was for sure,
They'll be driven to one another,
- Over and over again
- Hundreds of façades have been put on and turned over
- Different life forms
- Ever changing bodies
- Different social status,
- Continents Apart
- Culture variation
- Various and abundance of differences
- Except for one
- The very same soul
- Embedded into their vessels

It was the same flicker of fire
That keeps on existing within them
It was unmistakably unquestionable,
That will always make them recognise each other in an instant,
Both her and him.

An ancient curse that can never be deterred
It was not her burden alone to bare
They will always come back to each other/one another,
Over and over again,
For millenniums,
With the intention of sharing a lifetime together
Always.

But were they successful?
Only time knows
- Their past, present & future

And no matter what stands in their path
Or tries to divide them
They will still fight against all odds
Just to get a single moment
A moment that represents a drop of ink
That ripples a steady of water
Creating wider circumference
Unintentionally,
And that's just how their love manifest
From one simple moment,
To something even larger,
Consuming them whole
And they have no power to go against it.

One single moment,
A moment of recognition,
Was enough,
Something to remember by
Or hold on to
For one lifetime,
And as their breath mingles
Words were no longer required
For their eyes speaks for itself,
After all, these are the nature of
