I sat in the car with Thomas in the passenger's seat. I locked the child lock. He screamed his guts out at me as I looked at the rain dripping on my window. I felt the front of my head where the bullet should've been and frowned when I didn't feel anything at all.
I parked in the parking and turned my keys to make the engine stop. I looked at Thomas. His hair was all over the place, his pupils were small and he was stumbling in fear. "What the f*ck just happened?!" He proclaimed after a while. "..." I stayed silent and shook my head. I pulled out my phone. "The f*ck is that?" He asked me.
I looked at the date: The 17th of January. Time really did rewind. Heh...Rewind...Angelica and stuff...Ya know...Okay.
I propped up my arm against the car door so I could rub my eyes. "Okay, let's try this again," I mumbled to myself. I looked at Thomas who desperately tried to unbuckle his seatbelt. I cracked a smile. "Let me get that for you," I stated and unbuckled his seatbelt. I stepped outside and opened the door for him. He fell out and landed face first onto the floor.
I cursed myself and knelt down. "You okay?" I asked concerned. "I'm fine," He reassured as he pushed himself off the cold, hard cement floor. "I'm Thomas Jefferson, I'll always be okay-"
He then proceeded to stumble over his own feet.
"Were you always this clumsy?" I asked as I pushed the door leading to the elevators open and let him enter before I closed it.
Thomas didn't injure his knees.
I pressed on the up button and waited for the elevator. "What're you waiting for?" He asked as he looked at the glowing button. "Just you wait," I grinned. "Why are you grinning?" He asked as he cocked an eyebrow. "Talk less, smile more," I answered with a wider grin. "Did you become stupid?" He chuckled finding an amusement in my grin. "You look at me like I'm stupid, I'm. Not. Stupid," I chuckled. "I'm leaving you," Thomas stated as he walked back to the door. I heard the elevator arrive. "You'll be back," I laughed as he quickly ran back to me.
"Okay fine," He grinned. I smiled a love-filled grin. I pressed my lips on his as the elevator doors closed. When I pulled away, I saw that his cheeks had gone red. "I missed you," I admitted as he snapped out of the daze and smiled down at me. "I missed you too," He answered and held my cheeks in his hands. We stared at each other in a love-filled daze that we couldn't seem to come out of.
Then we arrived at the top layer. A short beep took us out of the daze. We looked away with pink cheeks and a huge grin splattered on our faces. The metal doors slid open and we stepped outside. I grabbed my keys and opened the door. That's when a memory hit me like a rock.
"Stay here," I told Thomas and headed towards the kitchen. I peaked inside and saw John looking in the sink. I frowned and slowly made my way to my bedroom to save Lafayette before he got thrown off the balcony.
I glide into my bedroom and saw Hercules grabbing Lafayette's collar and yelled at him. Alexander was there too and his volume was above Hercules's. Suddenly Alexander fell silent and he sighed .
"I'm gonna check up on John," Alexander mumbled and turned around. I hid behind a corner as he passed me. He seemed sad, annoyed, depressed. Let's say that he didn't look like the Alexander Hamilton I knew and loved...as a friend. "Why did you mess with the data?" Hercules demanded to know. "She died! She didn't need her reputation to be good!" Lafayette argued back as Hercules' grip became tighter around the thorn collar of Lafayette. "And the affair was her fault, I just did what I had to do for my country," Lafayette added with a scoff. This made Hercules snap. He pushed open a window and he pushed Lafayette towards it.
"SUFFER MOTHER OF BAGUETTES! AFFAIR MY A$$!" Hercules barked as he almost pushed him out of the window. Time to step it. "Hold it!" I told Hercules as I stepped in between them and pushed the window shut. Both of them were shocked. "Y/N?" Hercules finally asked. "Hazaa! It is I, Y/N Jefferson!" I sarcastically beamed as they looked at me in complete and utter confusion. I groaned and jogged back to the kitchen. "Alexander? John?" I called as I turned a corner and saw what I tried to avoid. "Take this Jefferson! I challenge thee for a sharp one pronged fork fight!" Alexander spat as he waved a kitchen knife around. "Aha! I see your sharp one pronged fork, my good sir. But that is a child's tool when you see this!" Thomas answered as he pulled out a sword out of nowhere. "OH NO!" Alexander shrieked in panic. "John!" He yelled as he shook John's shoulder. "He has a super sharp one pronged fork!" Alexander told John.
"..." I stood there, speechless. I didn't even know how this began or even escalated.
"The f*ck?" I finally uttered out with the most snobby tone I could muster.
