Chapter 8: A Will To Follow

Burn and Kairi were both making their way up to the station as they were both talking to each other about what to do next after they talked to Master Yen Sid. However, Burn's thoughts were focused on that boy who was watching them. Something about him seemed...off to him. Those wings that appeared on his back. He didn't trust him at all. He doesn't know who he is, but he plans on finding out some time soon.

"So Kairi, what do you think we should do when we get back?" Burn asked as she and him were walking up the road.

"Well, I was suppose to find you and bring you back to Master Yen Sid, so there's that problem solved." Kairi said.

"But what about that guy? The one who was watching us?" Burn asked with a little anger in his voice.

"I...don't know." Kairi said. "But he's gone for now, and we're safe. So don't worry so much about-" "I'm not 'worried' about anything." Burn interrupted her as he crossed his arms.

"Then why are you making such a big deal out of it?" Kairi asked.

"The 'deal' is that I-" "Talking behind my back, are we?" The duo quickly turned around and they saw the same boy, who was watching them, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, looking at them. He no longer had his wings on his back as well.

"You!" Burn exclaimed as he took out his keyblade. The boy snickered as he shook his head.

"Attacking me isn't going to make this better." He said as he stood off the wall.

"It will for me." Burn said threateningly. The boy sighed as he closed his eyes.

"Well, since you won't listen to me, have fun with your little meeting with Master Yen Sid." He said as he started to walk away.

"You know Master Yen Sid?!" Kairi asked surprised. The boy chuckled as he stopped walking.

"Now I have your attention." He said as he turned and faced the duo. "It's been a while since me and him last saw each other."

"Exactly how do you know him?" Burn asked suspiciously.

"..." The boy stayed silent for a moment. "...He told me everything I needed to know about my life."

Burn and Kairi looked at each other for a moment and back at the boy.

"What do you mean by that?" Kairi asked curiously.

"...Let's just say...I have a will to follow." He said. "And it doesn't involve what that hot-head is thinking." He said pointing to Burn.

"Who are you calling a 'Hot-head'?!" Burn glared.

"You." The boy smirked. "In fact, I think that temper is as slow as your thinking."

"Grr.." Burn wanted to attack him, but Kairi held him back.

"Just calm down Burn. He's just trying to get to your head." She told him. Burn nodded his head in understanding.

"Who are you?" Burn glared as he put his keyblade away.

"...Takeo." He said. "And how about you two?"

"I'm Kairi, and this is Burn." She said for him. Burn growled a little as he crossed his arms and looked away.

"Well, nice to meet you too." He said as he crossed his arms. "Anyway, Any reason as for why you need to talk to Master Yen Sid?"

"Well...me and my friends have been training there for a while. He sent me to find Burn here, and head back." She explained it as little as possible.

"I see." Takeo looked down for a moment. "You wouldn't mind...if I came with you, right?"

"What?!" Burn disagreed with the idea. But before anyone could say anything else. Heartless began to appear around them. Takeo growled a little as his hand clenched into a fist.
