After packing my things and saying my goodbyes, I stayed in my dorm for a little while longer and took the place in one last time.

I was 8 when I was first brought here by my aunt. She found me the day that my sister died. From then on, I was a high ranking Twilight in the expendable pocket of the Paulklee Colony.

Abi's tag felt cold against my neck as I laid down on my bed and stared up at the ceiling.

I closed my eyes for a second, and for the first time in a long while, I brought myself back to the day of her death. And when I opened my eyes, I saw the skies.

They held warm colors that complimented the most beautiful scenery.

Hesitantly, I turned to me shoulder and saw Abi. Her lifeless body laid down next to mine.

Why couldn't it have been me?

"We're always gonna be together, right?"

Sweat dripped down from my chin as I pummeled the busted up punching bag in the middle of the night.

It was the sound of the chains clanking from above me that connected the hook from the bag that put me at ease. With every swing, they got louder and louder until I was able to block everything out.

"I'm 2 minutes older than you! That's why I gotta be stronger, so I could protect you from bad guys!"

The second wrap around my knuckles were already messed up with blood seeping through the fabric, but I couldn't care less.

"A-Abi..? Please wake up!"

I cried out at the top of my lungs as the punching bag flew across the room after the memory flooded its way back into my mind.

No matter what I do to forget, it still haunts me to this day. My entire world fell apart when my sister took her last breath in that street. Everything was a blur, but I could still remember her staring up at the skies. Though the skies were the most beautiful I've ever seen that day, painting the clouds with warm colors, Abi's eyes didn't reflect the same brightness.

All they held.. was nothing.

I wanted to cry right then and there, but I decided against it when I noticed the person who caught the punching bag standing a few feet away from me.

"Its late." Doug frowned, then dropped the bag next to the others. "Shouldn't you be resting?"

"Get lost."

"Now that's just rude."

I scoffed. "Compared to how you were around Malicon, I'm a saint."

"Look, I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything. I just swung by your dorm and saw that you weren't there so I went looking for you."

"Well congratulations, you found me. Now beat it."

He rolled his eyes and stuffed his hands in his pockets as he made his way over to me. "If you're done being a pain in the ass, I wanna talk to you about something."

I wasn't really in the mood for talking, and I showed him that by ignoring him and hanging another bag up, then started focusing on my right hook.

It took him a second to figure me out. He knew I wasn't gonna make any remarks again so he tried another approach, one that easily had me biting for the damned bait.

"I know its not my place to say anything, but you shouldn't punish yourself like this just because today's her death anniversary."

My last punch echoed throughout the entire training compound when I stopped to scowl at him.
