The True Story

*Few Weeks Later*

        I woke up to a few texts from LaCarr, that put a small smile on my face. It was nice to have someone be fond of me again, to you know , wake up and think about me. I've really been appreciating his company, we've Facetimed a couple times and we've talked about trying to see eachother which I've actually thought about doing since I've talked to him. We've talked so much and he's made me feel so special. I actually am starting to like the kid which I'm scared of and haven't told him yet. I really like him and now should be the time that I tell him but I'm not ready. 

After getting dressed and settling back into my bed. I decided to call my Twinn. "Heyyyy Twinn, wassup?" She giggled. " What you doin over there ?" I sighed, I was ready to be up and out my house. " Nothing but the usual, Nana's working , Miguel is yelling on the game and Makayla is sleep." She sighed back. " Ask Nana if I can come over !" That would be fun to spend some time with my Twinn. " Just text her ." Really? " Girl, you're in the same house as the woman, get up and ask her for me damn it." This girl is a mess and a half. " Damn alright hold ." After waiting damn near forever , she finally comes back to the phone . " She said yes ." She better have. 

" Alright let me call you back, I gotta call my mama and let her know that I'm leaving ." I just hung up, I was ready to go already. I had my bag packed and everything. " Mama!? Mama , where you at ?" I yelled throughout the house, maybe she went to work for overtime. After realizing she wasn't home for yet another Saturday, I called her desk. " Thank you for callin-"Mama it's me, Moriah, I'm going to Nanas for a few weeks, is that okay with you ?" Please say yes , please say yes. " Why, what's wrong ?" Oh no , here she go. " Nothing is wrong Ma, I just wanna get out the house and hang with Mya ." I laughed . " Oh ok, be back soon, love you." The usually way she tried to get me to stay. " Love you too Ma." After hanging up, I grabbed my bags and keys , and whatever else I needed for my away stay. 

After shooting a text to my cousin that I was on my way, LaCarr text me. Another text about me going to see him, I've only known the kid for a bit and he was consistent about me going to see him .  I didn't reply , just got into my car and headed to my Nana's. Before making it there , I stopped by the store to get some snacks and you wouldn't believe who the fuck I saw. There Orlando was , at the register. I'll just avoid him , it won't matter.

I was picking everything out so slowly , just hoping that he'd go on break or something but it never came , I dreaded heading to the register but I needed my snacks. Yes I could have went to a different store but this was the closest one to my Nana's and their prices were great. Look at me trying to distract myself from what I dread, it doesn't work like that . The line was getting shorter and I was just one person closer to this man, keeping my head down , hoping he wouldn't see my face. 

Eventually I just took a deep breath and placed my items down. " Hey, how are you.......Moriah?" Damnit , god damnit. " Yeah , uh hey." Awkward as fuck. " H-how you been for real ?" Eh, he tried it . " I'm fine, faithful and baby free , can I have my snacks please ?" I reply with sarcasm dripping from every word. " My bad , damn I just wanted ti check on you ." He stripped his teeth. " Yeah okay, worry about that baby mama of yours ." I replied while rolling my eyes . " She the reason I'm working two jobs , so I'm worried about her. I'm worried about you too though." Just ring up the rest of my shit . " I'm breathing, that's all that matters ." I replied , snatching my shit and paying for it .

Why do people feel the need to check on me after they are the ones who hurt me , well atleast I have tea for my Twinn. I hadn't noticed that I left my phone in the car until after I had checked it . I had 3 missed calls from an unknown number that I've never seen a day in my life. Who in the fuck could be calling me ? I don't even have friends, really I don't. I'll call whoever it is back when I get to where I need to be. I don't know who was calling me but they continued to call as I made my way to my Grandma's .
