Chapter 33: Demanding answers

Forest

After getting thrown out of the Legendarium world, James found herself in the forest where Cloud tower was floating above it. Of course, the school wasn't there anymore but that wasn't the thing that was upsetting James.

It's what Acheron had said to her, she didn't want to believe it but it felt like the truth for some reason. Reverting back from her bloomix form and turning back into a guy, James began making his way back to Alfea with a lot of question going through his mind right now.

Upon reaching Alfea's gates, he spotted Riven exiting the gate and the former specialist soon addressed him.

"James......." said Riven.

"Riven, going somewhere?" asked James.

"Yeah, I didn't know if whether you'd make it back in time or not but......I'm leaving the team" said Riven.

".......So its come to that......." said James.

"I've got a lot of things to figure out on my own, I need to mold myself into the ideal person that won't betray other people's trust. That's why.....me and Musa are through.....but we've parted on good terms" said Riven.

"Well.......good luck, you'll get through them. You're you after all" said James.

"Heh, I'm not so sure if I even know that anymore. But once I do sort things out, I may come back.....we'll see. Until then, I'm walking my own path. And hopefully its one of redemption" said Riven.

".........Yeah......." said James.

"Something wrong?" asked Riven.

"I............nothing, take care Riven. And you better come back soon, maybe there are old and new surprises waiting for you upon your return" said James before walking past him.

Nodding, Riven watched as James crossed through Alfea's gate before walking off himself towards an unknown destination.

Moving through Alfea's halls, James soon entered his shared room with the winx and he could see them all comforting Musa.

"Hey James......." said Musa.

"Hey.............I've just talked with Riven, I know everything....." said James.

Nodding, Musa slowly felt better with the help of her friends. Bloom soon got up and walked towards James.

"How's Cloud tower and the Legendarium? As you can see, we've.......given up the key to give Musa her voice back" said Bloom.

"As hard as it was, you did the right thing for now Bloom and I'm proud of you and the winx for that. But......." said James as he looked away slightly.

"James? Is everything ok?" asked Bloom.

".............I'm leaving for Domino, don't wait up for me" said James as he walked towards the door.

"James? James!" called out Bloom.

Getting no replies, Bloom watched as James walked out the door and closed it upon exiting it. The rest of the winx were soon standing next to Bloom, they were worried too.

"What's wrong with him?" asked Stella.

"I don't know.....but he said he was going to Domino" said Bloom.

"Then I say that's where we're going too!" said Stella.

"But Stella.....he looked so serious, a different kind of serious. I don't know if we should" said Bloom.

"Bloom......we've already lost Riven....for now......I don't want someone else leaving the team. Just to be safe" said Musa.

"......Alright....but we'll have to be careful, so that James won't know we've followed him" said Bloom.
