I sat on our couch and read my lines. Just my luck both Sherlock and Andrea were sick. Which meant i had to do the first showing of hamlet with Richard. Great.

Sherlock dragged into the room and flopped down onto the couch with his head in my lap.

"Er, Hello." I said. He looked up to me with tired eyes.

"You are my new pillow." Sherlock said sleepily.

"You are very endearing when you are half asleep." I say placing my hand on his forehead.

"Sherlock you are burning up!" I exclaimed.

"I know, that's why I took some medicine." He mumbles.

"Oh so its the medicine talking." I say dejectedly.

"Yeah and the fact that i'm dying." Sherlock comments.

"Drama Queen" I mumble under my breath, as I resume reading my book.

"Keyland?" Sherlock asked so softly I almost didn't hear.

"Mmhhum" I said playing with his hair.

"Has anyone ever told you..." he said shyly.

"Told me what." I asked.

"How beautiful you are?" He asked with wide eyes.

I felt the blood rush to my cheeks.

"Sherlock..." I said forcing myself to look at his face, only to find he had drifted off to sleep. I let out a sigh of relief. How does one explain how hard it is to trust people. How hard it is to unlock the doors of your heart?

I sat rather contentedly playing with his hair and practicing my lines. I knew it was too good to last forever. My phone rang, and surprisingly didn't wake up Sherlock.

"Hello?" I heard a sweet lady's voice ask.

"Mrs. Hudson?" I ask.

"Keyland?" she says.

"Yes this is me." I respond.

"Hello Keyland I'm so sorry I just needed to talk so somebody." she says.

"No it's no problem, Mrs Hudson! Anytime you need to talk I'm here." I said earnestly.

Sherlock woke at the sound of my voice escalating.

"Who are you talking to?" Sherlock asked groggily.

"I'm on the phone." I said.

"Yes I can see that I'm sick not blind!" He sassed. I rolled my eyes.

"Is everything alright dear? Is that Sherlock?" Mrs. Hudson asked.

"Yes it is Mrs. Hudson." I reply.

"Mrs. Hudson? Why would she call?" Sherlock says annoyed.

"Shh Sherlock." I say.

"If you two are busy..." Mrs. Hudson says awkwardly.

"No sorry. I just have a clingy, and feverish Detective on my lap right now. I'll call you back when I've convinced him that having a flu doesn't mean he is dying." I said pointedly looking at Sherlock.

"Oh, alright dear." She replied.

"Give me a second to get him quiet, then I'll call you back." I say, with the exhausted voice of a young mother.

"Okay then, bye." she giggles.

"Bye." I reply. I hang up the phone.

"Sherlock that was very rude." I sigh.

"What was?" He asks raising an eyebrow. I roll my eyes. Again.

"Well, I can't have two conversations at once." I say.

"Why not?" He asks, with the urgency of a small child.

"Because, oh shut up." I say at my wit's end.

Sherlock let out a tired laugh.

"Go lay down." I say.

"No." He says refusing to budge from my lap.

"Why?" I ask.

"I'm too comfortable." He says haughtily.

I sighed. "Alright. You had better be quiet though."

"I will be." he says quietly.

I ring Mrs. Hudson again.

"Hello Mrs. Hudson!"

"Hello dear," she replies.

"So what's wrong?" I ask.

"Oh nothing is wrong! I just wanted to thank you both!" She chirps.

"What for?" I ask.

"Frank is being hung!" She giggles.

"Oh I'm so sorry?" I say confusedly. Maybe she is in shock?

"Oh no my dear don't be, its a huge relief! In fact I was wondering if we could get tea together. You me and Sherlock...When he feels better." she adds.

I looked at Sherlock and he nodded.

"That sounds wonderful Mrs. Hudson!" I reply.

"How is Saturday dear?" She asks.

"Sounds good for us!" Sherlock responds.
