What in the world??

"Wow," I say as Vero and Hale enters my room and sit on the floor.
"Why the wow, Luck?" Vero asks.
"Nothing hehe. Now Derek is finally off our backs huh?"
"I hope so at least."
Haley is the only one who's silent and it worries me.
"Hale, you okay?"
".....Veronica?"
"Yes Haley?"
"What was that?"
"What was what? That kiss? It was to back him off-"
"I understand that, believe me. But....that kiss didn't just feel like a kiss to back him off. Veronica?"
"......hm?"
"You're bi-sexual aren't you? Be honest."
"......yes. What else do you want to know?"
"If you have a crush on me?" Hale asks very serious.
".........yes..."

Haley walks up to Veronica then gives her a hard slap in the cheek. I gasp covering my mouth.
"Haley," I say.
"How could you?" Hale asks with tears in her eyes then she storms out of my room.
I turn to Vero. "Vero, you okay?"
"Yeah."

"You really had a crush on her?"
"I told her didn't I?"
"But Veronica she's not-"
"I know! Don't you think I know?! That's why I put away my feelings for so long."
"So long? How long were you having a crush on her for?"
".......what are you my mom-?!"
"I just want to help Vero. I care about you two. Please tell me so I can try to fix this."
Veronica then sighs and answers my question. "....2 months now.."
"Two months? A month after we all became friends?"
"Yeah."

"Veronica, I'm not going to judge you for your sexuality. I'll never do that. I love you for who you are."
"Looks like Haley doesn't...."
"No No. I doubt she doesn't."
"Ashley stop being stupid, her behaviour tells you-"
"She was just shocked Veronica. She didn't expect that kiss, neither did I."
"No one did....look, it's fine. I'll talk to her about it."
"You sure Vero?"
"Yeah. I'm sure."
"Alright."
"I have to go. See you tomorrow okay?"
"Alright."

Veronica then gets up to leave and I hug her. "It's going to be okay, she'll somehow forgive you. You know Haley."
"Yeah....one unusual girl but the best."
"Yep."
She puts a smile on her face nods and departs from my house.

----next day----

As Brad drives me to school and I get out he calls me.
"Yes babe?"
"If that son of a bitch messes with you again, tell me alright?"
"Yes Daddy."
"You're never gonna stop call me that aren't you?"
"Nope," I say giggling.
"Alright see you after school okay babe?"
"Okay. Love you."
"Love you too," he says and then we kiss.

I then walk to my locker and somehow everyone is saying hi to me. I become puzzled. How the sudden change all of a sudden? I then look behind me and I see three boys waving at me, on their knees; they're not even looking at me.

"Hi Ashley. How is your morning?" the three of them ask.
"Um, good actually. Thanks for asking."
"Do you want anything? We can get it for you."
My eyes widen. "Um I'm fine. Really."
"Okay Ashley. Enjoy the rest of your day okay?"
"Um....okay. T-Thanks."

I close my locker as I take my books out of it and I walk straight to class confused as hell. I close my eyes and open it again because all this has to be a dream. What in the world just happened?? The more confused I am, the more I'm thinking if Brad's behind this.

It doesn't end there, as I enter the class, boys escort me right to my bench and I just confusingly sit down and I look at Veronica.

"Vero, is this a dream?" I ask confused.
"Well it definitely ain't a nightmare."
"How so sudden everyone started treating me like I'm some princess in a kingdom?"
"Well princess peach, your Super Mario caused the change from yesterday when you were getting hickeys everywhere. Turns out not everyone knew you were Brad's property until now so you're going to get a lot of this from now on."
"O-Oh, hehe. Where's Haley?"
"Girl's bathroom, avoiding me."
"Looks like she's still upset about yesterday."
"Or it looks like I lost my friend because of my ego..."
"Stop it Vero. I'm going to talk to her right now okay. I'll be right back."

I get up from my seat and run straight to the girl's bathroom. As I get in, I see Haley looking in the mirror.

"Hale?"
She looks at me. "Hey Ashley, what's up?"
"I want to um, talk to you about-"
"Veronica?"
"Hmm Mhm."
She sighs. "What? Is she sorry?"
"Basically she is because you've been avoiding her and she's having the feeling that she lost you as a friend."
"She does. Because of that kiss...it changes how I think of her."
"I mean, yea that kiss was something else but, you can't just hate her now just because she's bi and she likes you."
"You don't understand Ashley."
"Huh?"
"That kiss......I liked it...."
