Ella's POV

I woke up to jack snuggled close to me, I moved his arms and got my clothes packed, "jack get up" I said he nodded and got up I got dressed and we left for the airport

8 hours later

I laid on the couch in my apartment With jack. I heard the door open I looked and saw people in masks with guns and knives "jack" I said terrified he looked over, "Ella run" he whispered I squeezed his hand and they walked towards him I took my phone and ran out the back door I jumped the fence I heard a gunshot, I began balling I ran towards the boys house I knocked on the door and saw Daniel he looked worried I cried into his shoulder "jack got shot" I said "what?" He asked "people broke in and jack told me run and as I was running I heard a gunshot and jacks scream" I said crying Daniel called the police and we began driving back to the house I opened the door I saw jack on the ground bleeding I screamed "jack!!!" I yelled sobbing I ran over holding him Daniel walked in with the ambulance I sobbed as they took him away from me.

30 minutes later

I was in jacks hoodie and leggings and boots. I walked into the hospital still crying "jack Avery" I said to the lady at the desk "still in surgery" I nodded and walked to a chair sitting next to Daniel

4 hours later

"Jack avery" my eyes shot up I walked over "can I see him?" I asked he nodded leading me to his room "how is he?" I asked "he's on life support the bullet went right next to his heart but thankfully It didn't hit his heart, he is doing ok, he hopefully wakes up soon." He said "wait is he in a coma?" I asked he nodded I sighed he opened the door and let me go in I saw jack laying their, limp, cold. I walked over and got out the blanket of mine I brought I had asked the nurse if I could give him it and she said yes, she cleaned it before I had it. I layed it gently on him I kissed his forehead. "I love you jack" I said holding his hand "please don't leave me" I said tearing up, I began writing ideas for what to do when he wakes up. I left to let Daniel have his time with him I went to the boys house since my house was currently cut off from everyone except police. I walked into jacks room and got my camera out and began filming

I sighed and began editing

3 hours later

I decided to head to mom and dads. I parked my car at the house and walked inside with my backpack of items the police let me get. "Mom! Dad!" I yelled and saw mom walk downstairs "hey Ella!" She said hugging me "what's up?" She asked I began talking to her about everything that happened recently. She hugged me once more and was then called into work. I walked downstairs and began looking for ingredients for gingerbread cookies, I walked outside and turned my car on or at least attempted.

I went back inside "Colby! Sam! Aaron?" I yelled no response "Jake!!" I yelled he came downstairs "what's up?" He asked "my car won't start and I need to go to the store" I said "ill drive you" he said I smiled and we walked to his car.

2 hours later

"I'm making the cookies Jake do you want to help?" I asked "Sure" he said walking in the kitchen

5 minutes later

I pulled out a handful of flour while Jake was mixing ingredients, I threw the flour at him. "You did not" he chuckled and put icing on my nose I wiped it off and continued baking.

30 minutes later

I got into Colby's hoodie and my old jeans. I walked downstairs and sat on the couch "is that Colby's?" Jake asked I nodded and put my feet In jakes lap. I plaid on my phone while Jake watched tv. I heard the front door open. "Jake we're back!" Dad yelled I got up and walked over hugging him "hey dad" I said "hey Ella" he said my phone rang I answered

"Hello is this Ella scherer?" She asked "yes?" I said "jack Avery has woken up" she said and talked for a bit longer before hanging up. I ran to my old bedroom grabbing and outfit and changing, I ran to my car since Jake fixed it. I drove to the hospital and parked quickly. I ran inside and up to the desk "jack Avery" I said "room 364" she said I nodded and walked to the elevator I ran to his room. I knocked and opened the door. "Hey jack" I said smiling he smiled I walked over and hugged him. I sat down and held his hand

12:45 AM

Jack had fallen asleep, I put a pillow on the bed and laid down attempting to fall asleep
