Vee's
Walking into the school Eva looked around herself, being new was always strange, no matter how many times she moved schools. It was something particular about this school though, something intriguing. She couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was but something told her this school would be special.
Eva started walking towards the locker she had been showed to the day before. It was in the end of a long hallway, in kind of its own corner. While the school was a pretty open space, the place where her pale blue locker stood, was swept in darkness.
She supposed she should feel grateful to have a small little alcove with only 3 other people as Eva was a pretty shy individual but it was also a scary place, with the dim lightning and the muffled sounds, it felt like the perfect murder spot.
Stuffing her bag and jacket away in her locker she picked up the binder she would need for her first lesson, math. Closing her locker she turned around towards the opening of the alcove only to run into a person standing there.
"So you're the new vampire?" The guy standing in her way said, his voice deep and face barely visible in the dark. He looked to be wearing a jacket with a t-shirt and jeans.
"I'm sorry?" Eva replied not understanding what the guy meant, vampire? As if.
"Oh it's just what we call the people who have their locker in this corridor, think of it as a privilege." The guy smirked as a reply, tilting his neck slightly to look her in the eyes.
Quickly Eva's eyes cast down towards the floor, not being able to look into his intimidating stare. "Can you please let me pass?" She begged. A chuckle escaped him.
"Sure, since you're asking so nicely," he answered and moved to the side.
Esther's
Playing the piano has always been easy for me. And the music room in school is perfect to play in. No one can hear you. It feels like you're isolated from the whole world. The only thing connecting you to the outside world is a small window. The window that a kid a few months ago broke with his tennis ball. No one cared to fix it and I didn't mind. Having that window open all the time was nice. You could hear the waves from the beach and you could see pink flower petals fall from the big tree right outside the window. Everything was so beautiful. I saw everything from a view no one else saw it from.
In the music room there were a piano, a harp and a violin. The perfect combo to make anything ugly sound good. It's sad that no one cared about the music room except me. It would be absolutely amazing if someone would come down and play with me for just a second. A second in my life I'd never forget.
Too bad the bell rang right when I got into playing river flows in you. A beautiful piece.
I quickly moved myself into my wheelchair and got out of the music room. My classmates didn't like me that much, they thought I was weird. I didn't get why. Was it because of my black stringy hair? Or my different coloured eyes? Or maybe it was because my wheelchair. I'm sorry that I couldn't be perfect like you.
