Crossroads

I took that road
Away from you
Thinking you were better off without me
So I walked the desert
Without a single drop of water
At the lowest of lows
My heart heavy, yet hopeful
Hopeful that you'd be happy even though it wasn't me making you smile

So I stumbled and dragged myself through the sand
As I held my heart in the palm of my hand
Cause its all that I have and its all that I need
I never ever had or needed anyone to help me through this

Or so I thought....

Then we crossed paths that day
You said, "Hey" adding that accent into it like you always do
You then accused me of something
Which I only smiled to and proceeded to bite my lip
So I could stop myself from saying,
"I missed you...."

And now.... its just you and I, helping each other through this desert

Wouldn't have it any other way
