Chapter 6 | acceptance..

I was sweating and was scared because I might make a fool in front of her-No! You can do it soarin! You can!

I first did some warm ups and I took a glance at her and she was sitting on a chair and observed I guess...

My heart is racing like crazy I'm so freaking sca-*slaps* what the hay soarin are you a stallion or what!?

Stop being a drama mama cause this isn't a good look for you sheesh!!!

I looked at the different weapons and training exercises that I could do but which one... 

I walked around and saw a punching bag,  I could do that first...

I looked at the chief to see if she's still watching cause I'm doing so bad right now... 

She raised a brow at me and I took that as a first act of judgement.. If I want to make a good impression to the chief then I would finally reach my goal! I have to put all my strength and energy to it!

I took a first punch and saw it swayed back and punched it again.

Until.. 

When I punched it the 3rd time

Ow! What the heck!! It's like the bag is filled up with cement!

I looked back and saw the chief holding the bag with one hoof (ᵂᴴᴬᵀ ᵀᴴᴱ ᶠᵁᶜᴷ?)

Oh god this is it... I bet she's gonna scold me and tell me that I don't belong and-

"soarin.. " she started. I quickly saluted and spoke

"ma'am "

"are you really just like this or just plainly stupid?" she asked and I got confused to what she said.

"Uhh what?" I asked

She rolled her eyes and said

"remember this newbie... Every fight always and I mean ALWAYS starts with a good proper training... " she said

"I know that ma'am that's why I'm training hard right now... " I replied and she smacked my head

"OWW HEYY" I said and rubbed it

"idiot" she muttered

"why'd you do that? I didn't say anything wrong" I defended

"You misunderstood my quote... For that you are punished... " she said

"so then... What does it really mean?" I asked

She gave a grin and said

"Keep training and you'll know the answer.. " she said

"And what do you mean by that?" I asked

"By training and training hard you will be able to realize the answer.. So by tomorrow I'll ask you again for the answer... For now... You prepare for your actual training " she said and walked out....

Dang is she always like this???

"is this how you train your recruits?" I asked and her face hardened as if she thought it was an insult,  I quickly reacted and said

"don't take it too literally,  it was a question ma'am" I said

Her face then softened and said

"Well... I don't train my recruits like how other boring Chiefs/captains do, I train my recruits differently.. And that's what makes then stronger... "

"oh.. "

"wanna know a fact? You know rapidfire right? Well... He just moved in here like a couple of weeks ago.. " she said

No way i thought he already reached a year here...

"No way..." I doubted

"doubt all you want, I bet  You thought he already lasted a year here " she grinned

"Heheh about that.. " I spoke

"well.... Trainings over recruit...see you tomorrow " she said and walks out

You know there's something special about her that I can't guess...

Nah forget it...

All that matters is now... I feel like I'm accepted :)

****The next day****

I was at a table beside wavechill and thunderlane and they were talking about some random stuff meanwhile I was sitting just thinking of something... 

"Hey soarin... What got you so quiet?" wave asked

"Oh uh it's nothing never mind that" I said

"Sure?" thunderlane asked grinning

"I'm positive! Now stop asking me that or else im-"

"It's about the Captain eh?" thunderlane cuts me in mid-sentence

I looked at him and said

"Well... Yeah but-"

"what? you like her?" he asked grinning
