The day came to rest on a blissful night sky. Sophie looked out at it. She admired the stars that twinkled so brightly and how they shined. The leaves rustled around her and the wind blew her hair slightly to the left. Calla's tree stood there strongly and beautifully, like a city on the hill for the other trees. The very goal of the other tall trees that grew in the fields surrounding Havenfield.
Sophie's day had been quite interesting. Earlier, the Councillors has been training the seven to be emissaries. They hadn't really told them why yet, and Sophie wondered if it was for a mission. The Councillors had been so mysterious about it. They really hadn't told the group much, and that was bothering Sophie. She sighed and turned around to head back inside Havenfield. But to her surprise, Bronte stood there waiting silently. "Ms. Foster," he called. "I think you should come with me."
Sophie stumbled a little as she hurried toward Bronte trying to regain herself. She didn't want Bronte to see that she was a little flustered. As soon as she reached him, Bronte reached into a pocket in the inside of his cape and pulled out a pathfinder. The crystal at the top seemed to be a rainbow of colors. Sophie couldn't help but speculate what this crystal could do and where it could go. "Where are we going?" Sophie asked hurriedly.
Bronte looked down at her. "Somewhere," he said shortly and held the pathfinder to the light after he had twisted it to the right degrees. A ray of light formed, and Bronte pulled Sophie into the light and whooshed them away.
