Star Struck

Your head's lost in its own space
as this brilliant and shiny little star
Fell from high praised pedestal of grace
Like the red from from the arms you mar.

Scream and rebel
But nothing will repel
The hopes that choke
Or the lies they spoke

You don't think
You're in the right
Place. so you sink
In your plight.

But you can't falter
You gotta stand
Let nothing halter
The storm in hand.

You take the pen
To the paper.
Ink your plan,
Become the shaper.

Twist and command.
Reboot and flow.
Force and defend.
Speed of slow.

You go too fast
Now you stop.
It's to late to cast
Aside the flop.

Step back and slow down.
This is your only chance.
Came to the top, only to drown
Because you stumbled in the dance.

Hold up and get on par.
Study and develop yourself.
Next time you'll raise the bar.
Cool down before you get shelfed.

Wait, stop, no more.
Throw in the towel.
No better than before.
This taste is foul.

But you know this demon,
The whispy shadow being.
He was the one you summoned
Who was here from the beginning.

Your demon was your only friend
Your demon was your only fan.
He was here for you to the end.
And he laughed when you ran.

You fled from your broken dreams
When it all fell apart and burned.
Then you silenced your screams
By falling back on what you learned.

His laugh echoing and bellowing
Buring deep inside of you.
His ambition you were borrowing.
Worse as you went back to what you do.

A hope that crashed like a waterfall.
Your petty reign that would never last.
Your life being like heavy downfall
Stand in the rain and know hopes are past.

You rewrite but still fall on your ass.
You try to stand but you're outta luck
There is nothing that'll give you a pass.
The only thing you know is getting fucked.

So now it is all gone, so now it's all over.
Sitting at your window contemplating pain
Instead of figuring out how to recover
You watch stars through the window pane.
