The tree's were tall, the type you would imagine to be in fairy tales. With their sweeping leaves made of the impeccable green and rock hard trunks.
Kandis ran her hand across the jagged bark. She remembered her training, standing int he rain punching the trunks until her knuckles bled. The pain was euphoric, as if it meant more than blood and bruises. She followed the trees, up into the sky almost out of sight. Soon this lush green forest would be no more. Isaac Inferno had plans to crush it into the ground to make room for a larger empire. Kandis sighed, a silent breeze blew rustling the leaves. She let her arm drop. If only Anton could see past this, see his son for who he truly is none of this would have happened. Just the thought of Kandis made her blood boil.
She felt an income calling through her earpiece.
"Kandis." she answered her voice harsh.
"It's Walker, we have more information," the earpiece crackled.
"I'll be there soon."
Kandis threw the helmet on her head and rode her motorbike through the forest.
