Why did this all have to happen?

For years the truth was shrouded in darkness.

The games, abuse, and lies now comes to an end.

Endeavor finds himself trapped in some nightmare that feels like he can never wake up from...

But despite being in total darkness, he wasn't alone...

There stood a few inches away from.him was Rei...

She had that steely gaze on her face again...

He wasn't sure if she was actually here and just an apparition again...

It feels like it but he couldn't correspond with the thought just yet...

How much he wanted to see her again.

How long since they actually had an pleasant that didn't involved his plans...

Endeavor: Rei.

Rei: DON'T!

For once in his life, Enji flinched at her tone.

Rei: Don't take another step towards me. I don't trust you. Don't think you can talk your way into my arms.

He had this coming. Why he didn't see it sooner. During that time she was suffering, she had a family with him and tried to be happy but that was taken away and rightfully so because why should she be happy when someone betrayed her and their kids was struggling to survive.

A simple apology from him will not remedy things, he only regretted everything now when he lost everything .

It was like karma to him so he should have guessed that this wouldn't end well. Ever since she sacrificed everything her future that she worked hard for ever since she was a young girl, Rei wanted to be her own hero. But that changed the moment Endeavor first lay eyes on her and then brought her from her own family. Then forced her to have a family with him and look happy in public. It is only logical for her to be abused.

Because of that stupid quirk marriage...

All this had drama, anguish, and the illusions that were put up came crashing down.

The Todoroki Family was nothing but an illusion.

An logical ruse for Enji's sick plans to suppress All-Might.

Rei: I meant nothing to you after all these years. Neither did our children. Especially Shouto...

Endeavor: That's not true!

Rei: Then why you do it?!!!

Endeavor:....
