If you love,
Do you ever love so fiercely,
Get so lost in the emotion
That you forget yourself
Just stop,
Stop there
Stop thinking
Stop doing anything
And look and look and look
And you think to yourself
How is it possible to love,
The light during dusk,
How the sun bleeds orange
Into the sky,
The song you are listening to,
The people around you,
The book you are reading,
Your dog who is sleeping,
The food you are eating,
This car ride,
That lamp,
Those curtains,
That tree,
This road,
That happiness,
This struggle,
This night,
This life
You think to yourself
How is it possible to love
So fiercely, so madly
That your throat chokes up
With unsaid words
With unexpressed emotion
And you wonder
How everything, everyone goes on
Without knowing what effect they have on you.
It makes me want to spill it
Spill all this love
Like ink on water
Like paint on canvas
Paint the world with my love
Paint it red and blue
And green and white
And happy and sad
All the colours that exist
All the emotions that exist
