In World Series episode 27(?), in support of having given Japan a diet to follow, Germany stopped drinking beer. In episode 1 of the next season (unless it's one season and the place I'm watching it from split it up), Germany then eats tomatoes with Japan, saying, "I'm the one who started it, so I'll be with you every step of the way."
