nora and jack never really talked, they were always at the same the bus stop, but when nora goes through the worst jack, was there and everything changed.

.. I grabbed my purse.
"Jack you have to get an Uber! Goodbye!" I yell and run to the front door but right before I open it their is a know on it.
I open it and see rachel, Levi and ember.
"Aww emmy, I'm so sorry I was late." I say while giving her a hug.
"It's okay mommy!" She says and gives me a kiss on the cheek.
"Mommy?" Rachel says.
"Oh her mom passed away a couple weeks ago so she left her for me to raise her." I lied.
"Oh well that's good!" She says.
"Oh thank you so much rachel for taking them here, I took a nap and lost track of time." I say
"Oh no worries." She says.
Then if it could get any worse. Jack walks out of my room.
"Jack what are you doing here!?" She says
"My toilet was broken and I saw jack at school this morning so I'm asked him for help." I say
"Oh." She says.
Dumbass.
"How about I make dinner." I say.
"Sounds great." Rachel says
"Jack go play with the kids, I'll help Nora." Rachel says.
He nods and walks away.
Me and rachel start making homemade pizza.
"You know Nora, I have a secret to tell you." She says
"Really? What is it?" I say.
"Me and jack aren't married." She whispers.
I choke on my glass of red wine.
"What?" I say
"Yeah we're just engaged." She says.
"The wedding is this weekend and I would love for you to be there, I made an invitation for you but I didn't know where you lived so I'll just give it to you, here you go." She says while handing me a invitation.
"Thank you." I say and a gulp goes down my throat and I'm holding back tears. .. (after dinner)
"Goodbye guys! Thank you for coming to dinner." I say as I open the door.
