(A/N: I fangirled when I made this chapter. I'm still fangirling. Mmph. I'm not going to have good internet this weekend so the last chapter will come on Christmas Eve! That's Monday! Make sure you mark it on your calendars! Big day, people! Even though this is like the big finale... But the LAST chapter is kind of like a soft fluff to tie it all together. I LOVE YOU, READER. I LOVE MY GAY SHIP TOO. DON'T FORGET THAT.)
So, I made a special gingerbread man just for Loki this morning! I even made him a little Loki gingerbread helmet! I decorated it just like Loki too! Er... the face is weird... doesn't look much like him... But I think you can tell where the eyes are so that should be good enough! I'm sure he'll like it!
So, reader, I'm finally going to do it. I'm taking Loki on a date. Today. And I'm telling him. I mean, it's Christmas Eve and I don't want to find out what he would do if I didn't tell him what was on my mind before Christmas. So... Wish me luck and here I go.
Daniel put his jacket on as he grabbed the box that contained the gingerbread Loki and made his way to Loki's room. Nervousness gripped him as he tensed up and knocked on the door.
Loki soon opened the door to his room but looked like he had just gotten out of bed.
"Loki?" Daniel scrunched his nose up. "Are you okay? You look like a total disaster. Did you just wake up?"
Loki frowned at his comment but pushed his hair back as he replied, "It's seven in the morning. Yes, I just woke up. Though, I truthfully did not want to get up on this day of all days."
Daniel looked down for a moment, biting his lip before he looked back up and found Loki staring at him, smirking at Daniel's awkwardness while waiting for him to explain why he was at Loki's door at that time of morning. "Well, it's Christmas Eve and you know Sigyn wouldn't want you to mope around in bed all day. I'm taking you out today so you better be ready by eight. We're going to actually celebrate the holiday. Plus..." Daniel looked down with slightly red cheeks, "I was planning on telling you my secret today..."
Loki's eyes widened at the abrupt announcement. He cleared his throat and nodded his head. "I see. I'll meet you in the lobby then?"
Daniel smiled and agreed, "That sounds great. I, uh, also have one thing to give you." Before Loki was able to ask, Daniel thrust a box into his hands. "You can have it now if you'd like... or later. I don't mind. I hope you like it, anyway. I'll see you later!" With an awkward smile, Daniel quickly left before Loki had a chance to look in the box.
Daniel rushed to Natasha's room and banged on her door. He waited and waited until she finally answered the door in nothing more than her pajamas as well. "Daniel? It's not Christmas yet. Why are you up so early?"
He took in a deep, readying breath as he announced, "I'm taking Loki on a date tonight and I'm going to tell him."
Her eyes widened as she processed the information. She then pulled Daniel into the tightest hug ever. "You're going to do great! I'll even stand by in case some hooligan tries to interrupt your date! This has to go perfectly!"
"Uh," He rubbed the back of his head as she pulled away with a smile. "Nat, actually I was planning on going alone with Loki. It's just going to be me and him the whole day. I have it all planned out."
Natasha grinned happily, "My little Daniel planned out a whole date all by himself! It must be great! Well, I won't get in your way and I'll make sure Thor and the others stay out of it too."
Daniel chuckled, though his nervousness was easy to see in his attitude. "Thanks, Natasha. Well, I'm going to go get ready! I have a long day ahead of me! First, we're going to go to the cafe and get drinks, then we're going to go eat lunch, then we're going to go ice skating, then we're going to..." He began to walk away to his room as he was still telling her about the plans for the day even as he got out of hearing distance.
