We were done for today. Earlier than normal, but I stayed in the studio.
I was lying in the middle, just contemplating about yesterday. After we all ate ramyun, we separated ways. Eun-Ae, went with Betty and Min Jee - as expected - and I with Chris and Hyunjin.
But Hyunjin left earlier, leaving me with Chris for the rest of the day. I didn't mind being alone with Chris, it was just the way Hyunjin left. He was cold.
For the past month he's been riding the same bus with me, but today he didn't.
"What's going on?" I asked aloud. I stared at the ceiling, hoping the answers to my questions, would be written across for me. But, that won't happen and I'm just left with questions.
Was he ignoring me? If he was, why am I bothered? I wanted this.
Maybe I'm overthinking things. Maybe there's nothing wrong. Maybe he realized that it was pointless trying to talking to me. Maybe -
"Still here?" A voice asked and if I wasn't mistaken it was Changbin.
He was the first male trainee I met. The scary-looking-but-kind-guy, that's him. Due to busy schedules we weren't able to talk or hang out.
"Hey," I said not bothering to look at him.
"Mind if I join you?" I heard his steps grow closer.
"Sure," I said and I felt him lay down beside me.
"What's up?" He asked.
"The ceiling," I said and he sighed.
"Wow, like I haven't heard that one before," he said and I let out a soft chuckle.
"Sorry," I said, "I'm just thinking," I traced the lines on the ceiling with my eyes.
"About?" He asked and we were silent.
I sighed, "Hyunjin," he laughed.
"You're still hung up on him?" I felt Changbin shift, I look to my right. He was leaning on his hand, his elbow plopped against the floor, and it was keeping his head up.
He was in his usual all black outfit. A black beanie, hoodie, joggers and snickers. His go-to-look. At times, he'd put some other colors, but they were still dark shades.
He smiled and raised an eyebrow at me,"Stop," I giggled shaking my head, "it's not like that."
Changbin was the first one to find out I liked Hyunjin. Because the three of us used to hang out together. Those days felt so long ago, why did things change?
He nudged me, "Then wait is it, huh?" I turned to look at his teasing smile, "Are you bothered that he's not noticing you?" Changbin shook his head and pouted to mock me.
"Get your ugly face away from me," I pushed his face away and he fell off balance.
"Ya! Rude!" I laughed as he sat up straight. "No wonder he doesn't like you back, aish," Changbin glared at me and I stared at him.
"He doesn't like me back," I stared back at the ceiling.
Did I really want him to like me back?
"Hey," Changing shook my shoulder, "I don't mean that, of course he does."
I laughed at Changbin, "No, it's fine. I know he never liked me."
Did I really believe he didn't? Or did I hope he did?
"That's where you're wrong," I sat up straight and looked at the door, "You're wrong."
