Yes Nagisa's sister Mai Shoita was dead in that coffin being carried away.
The weird thing is that no one knew how she actually died. Well except for two people. Karma and Nagisa were the only one's who knew that she was killed on an assassination mission. She died from a poison called DEVIL'S BLOOD.
