The naive girl was back home.

The town she loved more than she could explain.

Because it carried all her favourite memories.

It had she friends.

Ones she knew since forever.

Especially the sweet girl.

The naive girl was happy to be with the sweet girl.

They had become friends when they were 3 years old.

They had a 9 year friendship.

Which is quite a long one as well.

They had been friends since forever.

So they knew everything about each other.

Or so the naive girl thought.

They were friends through everything they had to go through.

It wasn't an easy journey at their age.

The sweet girl was insecure as she was poor.

She was jealous of the naive girl, who didn't have to worry about money most of the time.

Yet the naive girl took care of the sweet girl.

She never let the sweet girl feel bad or sad.

The naive girl was the only friend that the sweet girl had.

So she had expectations form the naive girl.

And she never disappointed the sweet girl.

She always stood up for the sweet girl.

Even if it put the naive girl in dangerous situations.

She would have done anything and everything for the sweet girl.

She helped the sweet girl develop her character.

She helped her become less insecure.

She was next to the sweet girl every step she took.

When the naive girl moved, she had been scared for her best friend.

The best friend who she considered her sister.

So when she returned, she was happier than happy.

She felt that they could continue with their friendship.

That everything would be back to normal.

Like everything was before.

But the sweet girl had changed.

She was not the sweet girl any more.

She was a clever girl.

She was not at all insecure.

She didn't have only the naive girl as a friend, like she used to before.

No.

She was popular and no longer needed the naive girl.

Not anymore.

She was happy now.

No longer wanting to be friends with the naive girl.

The naive girl who was clumsy.

The naive girl who actually saw the people as good no matter what they did.

The naive girl who was a full on nerd.

The naive girl who was antisocial.

Because the sweet girl didn't need her.

She wasn't even the sweet girl anymore.

She had become the popular girl.

But the naive girl did not know that.

She still went on with being friends with the sweet girls.

Not knowing that she, as well would break her.

The sweet girl did the same.

She stopped.

Stopped being the friend that the naive girl knew her to be.

The naive girl had been greatly confused.

But over time, she understood that the sweet girl had changed.

Changed into someone she did not understand.

Someone she did not know.

It happened slowly.

But surely.

The naive girl was as well known to the sweet girl as she could be.

And the sweet girl broke her.

She started by stopping talking to her as often.

She had more friends.

She usually talked to the naive girl when they were alone.

She stopped coming over for  the sleepovers.

And she started rumours in the naive girl's name.

This all broke the naive girl beyond words.

The girl she had known for 9 years turned out to be someone she could never know.

Someone who took pleasure in watching her break.

Because the sweet girl had become the Cruel girl.

And the cruel girl hated her.
