CHAPTER 9: "Heavenly Dog Eclipse Day"

Yun Sheng had long heard from the village hunters that the demonic snake beast wasn't venomous. However, this willow green snake can spit out sharp wind blades similar to that of awns.

This was Yun Sheng's first time coming across a beast.

In comparison to her previous life the one she had today, there was still a big difference. After all, magic didn't exist and there were no such thing as magical beasts.

Fortunately, Yun Sheng was already accustomed to life-death situations. Although she started to panic at first, Yun Sheng was able to calm down within a short time.

Medical doctors, regardless of the circumstances, are required to remain absolutely calm.

Suddenly, several bone needles had appeared in an instant between Yun Sheng's fingers. These bone needles were different from the bone needles Yun Sheng had used in the past. These needles were coated with the poison of the mandala lotus.

Her pupils contracted as the wind blades sharply flew towards her. Yun Sheng lightly yet swiftly moved - so fast as if her body was flickering within the grass while she dodged the attack.

The willow green snake (First Level Demonic Beast), after spitting out the first batch of wind blades, needed to reaccumulate its wind energy in order to conduct a second attack.

While the eyes of the willow green snakes are green - an indication of it gathering more wind energy, the bone needles in the Yun Sheng's hands were aimed at the snake's heart. "CHI...", the snake's hissing was similar to the sound produced from a steel bar ringing. The bone needles within Yun Sheng's hands abruptly flashed like a han guang (light from the reflection of knives, swords, etc.)

The haughty willow green snake was suddenly nailed to the ground by several bone needles with the needle tips inserted into the snake's body. The anesthetic from the needles immediately started to take effect. The snake struggled a few times. However, the anesthetic had already started to work in the snake's body, causing it to be in a state of coma.

Yun Sheng slightly stretched her wrist, picked up the unconscious willow green snake, and stored her needles away.

As Yun Sheng searched for the snake's dan (similar to energy crystals stored in beasts), a scalpel appeared in her knife. A perfectly fine willow green snake was sliced open as its dan was dug out.

Yun Sheng used the water from the water sac that she always carried on her to wash the dan before swallowing it.

As the snake's dan entered her body, Yun Sheng started to feel hot from her stomach.

The snake's dan nourishes the yin and yang energy within the body. For people with a weak body such as Yun Sheng who lacked nourishment and vitality, the snake's dan is considered to be a tonic.

After digging out the dan, Yun Sheng proceeded to skin the snake. Yet what she ended up was an empty snake belly.

"It seems that this is just a willow green snake born once a year, but unfortunately, there is no spirit crystal like what the Uncle had said," Yun Sheng's small face dimmed.

At Jiao Ye Village, the hunters are richer than the pharmacists. More hunterers lived in homes constructed out of stones.

The reason why is because the hunters can go into the mountains and hunt for beasts even if the beasts were only low tiered ones.

Demonic beasts are considered to be treasures. Their skins are made into different types of armor, their meat can be sold. However, the most valuable part of the demonic beasts are their bones and their spirit crystals.
