Josh looked around the small apartment and smiled. All the boxes were finally unpacked, which meant that he could sit down and rest, but he couldn't bring himself to look away from what was in front of him. It wasn't the big house he had always dreamed of, but it was perfect.

The kitchen to his left, granted it was kind of small and only one person could cook in it at a time, was awesome. The living room in front of him, which, surprisingly, was actually kind of big, had a huge couch and a TV that was just the right size for videogames and movies. And the bed room off to the side had an amazing view of the park below. Sure, the bed was way too big for him alone, but that didn't matter. He had someone to share it with.

Then there was also the drum set in the corner. It was a hobby that Josh had picked up in the beginning of college. Well, it wasn't really a hobby. Josh had needed a way to get the stress out that didn't involve punching a certain English professor, and the guy that worked at the music shop just off of campus had said he knew just the thing. At first, Josh had been a bit skeptical, but as soon as he got the hang of it, drums had become his new best friend. He had even started trying to find a band to be in and love out his childhood dream of making music.

Suddenly two arms wrapped themselves around Josh's middle and he turned around with a smile.

"You happy that it's all done, Dun?" Debby asked, standing on the tip of her toes to give him a kiss. He smiled against her lips, causing both of them to laugh.

"You have no idea," he sighed. He pulled her into a hug and they just stood there in each other's embrace, basking in the feeling that this was their place and they were together. The four years they spent apart during college had been torture. They thought it was best to break up at the end of high school, but none of their other relationships had worked out. Josh was still wary of girls with bright orange hair a slightly crooked nose.

"Tyler would've liked it," Debby whispered. Josh smiled and nodded his head. He missed the little guy. He should be here, running between their feet, barking at flowers and chewing up their shoes, but he wasn't. Josh could only hope that wherever he was, Tyler was happy up there.

Debby pulled them over to the couch and flipped on the TV, cuddling into Josh's side. He let out a sigh and buried his face in the crook of her neck, enjoying the feeling of sitting and relaxing.

A knock on their door made Josh sit up and leave the couch. He groaned slightly because come on, he had just sat down. Couldn't whoever was at the door wait?

"Hello?" Josh said as he opened the door.

Standing in the hallway was a guy around his age with short brown hair and large brown eyes. He was wearing a jacket to some band that Josh was pretty sure he knew and had the most interesting tattoos on his one arm, which consisted of bands around his wrist and some on his upper arm. But the thing that caught Josh's attention the most was the pack of tacos that the guy had cradled in his arms.

"Hey!" the guy said cheerfully. "I heard that some people were moving in here, and since I live right across the hall, I thought I'd introduce myself. Hope you like tacos."

Josh smiled. This guy seemed really nice and the thoughts of their neighbors being axe murderers vanished from his mind. The guy in front of him probably couldn't open a heavy door, let alone hurt a fly.

"Hey, that's really cool of you, man. I'm Josh," Josh introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you, Josh," the guy said, smile as bright as ever.

"If you want you can come one in, we just finished unpacking but...." Josh trailed off.

The guy smiled. "I'd love to, if that's cool."

Josh nodded his head and moved out of the doorway, gesturing for the guy to go inside.

"Is that a new person?" Debby spoke up from the couch. In a few seconds she was by Josh's side, smiling at the prospect of a new friend. "I love meeting new people."

The guy laughed slightly and Josh introduced Debby.

"And Debby this is...oh hey, I never caught your name," Josh exclaimed.

"Oh right! I forgot," the guy said, obviously a bit embarassed. "I'm Tyler."
