Chapter 12: Hazy

Lisa's POV

I can't stop my tears from falling. I shouldn't have left her alone. This is all my fault.

"Lisa!"

I saw Jennie unnie and Jisoo unnie running towards me, I stood up and walked towards them.

"Unnie," I sobbed.

They enveloped me in their hugs which made me cry even harder.

"Where's Chaeyoung?" Jisoo unnie asked.

"I-in the E-ER," My voice cracked.

I can't get the image of her bleeding out of my head. This wouldn't have happened if I didn't leave her alone.

"How did this happen Lisa? How could she fall like that?" Jennie unnie asked.

"I-I don't know," I mumbled. I really don't know.

"What do you mean you don't know? Weren't the two of you together?"

"Jennie, relax, there must be an explanation to thi-"

Jisoo unnie was cut mid sentence when a phone suddenly rang.

It was coming from my pocket, I reached inside and got a hold of Chaeyoung's phone.

The screen was cracked really bad, but it was still working.

Calling: Bommie<3 Unnie

I wiped away my tears, "Bom unnie is calling."

"Answer it," Jennie unnie said.

"I-I can't," I replied.

Jisoo unnie took the phone from me, she answered the call and put it on loud speaker.

"Yeoboseyo, Bom unnie?"

"Jisoo? Where's Chaey? I wanted to ask a favor for tomorrow."

"Well, you see, Unnie, uhmmm-"

Jisoo unnie was stuttering. She's having a hard time explaining Chaeng's situation. We all know how close Bom unnie and Chaeng are. It's a sort of mother-daughter relationship.

"Sooyah? Waegure? Did something happen?"

"Just tell her, unnie," Jennie unnie mouthed.

"Yeoboseyo?"

Jisoo unnie sighed, "Chaeyoungie, she's at the ER right now, u-unnie."

"What?!"

We all cringed at unnie's voice.

"I was talking to her not even an hour ago, what happened?!"

"S-she f-fell, u-unnie," I spoke.

"Lisa? Fell where?"

"T-two flights of stairs at the fire exit."

I heard her sigh and curse, "I'm going there now, wait for me."

Unnie cut the line before we could say goodbye. She must be worried.

"Excuse me? Are you the ones with Park Chaeyoung-shi?"

We all turned our attention to the doctor that just came out of ER.

"Yes, we are." Jisoo unnie is the one who replied.

"Are you her relatives?"

"No ma'am, we're her friends," Jennie unnie spoke up.

"I see, where is her family then? Are they not informed?" The doctor asked again.
