"Stop the car!" Damon yelled and turned the wheel toward Pinehills forest. I was still reeling from the shock but felt compelled to hit the brakes. That's when I noticed absolute evil before my eyes as I stared out of my car window gasping for air.

Damon picked up my brother and put him in the backseat of our Rover. We rushed back into the Pinehills academy for the gifted and placed him in the infirmary. What the hell happened to you? I thought to myself as Damon comforted me. I dug my nails in my shoulder and stressed at what new trouble Sou will carry. I nervous rubbed my ear lob and paced back and forth.

The smartphone in my pocket alerted me to get ready for the student body arrival.

"Good morning everyone, A couple of announcements. 'Positive Attitude Monday', 'Help a Friend Tuesday' and 'Solve a Puzzle Thursday' has been reinstated. You can continue to use your smartphones as long as you use them in silent mode. We here at Pinehills Academy believe in complete transparency with our student body so you should know last night we had to rescue my brother in the middle of the road. We'll know more about his ordeal once he wakes up. Heed me my powerful gifted and brilliant Witches and warlocks. Use protections as much as possible. A good offence is the best defence!" I got interrupted by the main door open and close behind the students loudly. It was Mason. My ex showed up at the academy after all this time. His boots clicked the floor and filled the hall with his presence. The students looked at him and whispered among themselves about his whereabouts.

'And where's he been, Mason?'

'Wonder if he came across any Witch hunters!'

'He's got a jawline for days.'

'He is a ruthless Warlock.'

'These are all rumours, I heard he became ice-cold after dating headmistress Isabelle.'

"Hey! This isn't tv! She's right here and she can hear you! Get out of here already. Go! Run to your Classes." Damon said narrowing his brows and smirking at me. He gestured at me that he needed a minute as he walked away from me towards Mason.

"He's back! I guess as a headmistress you're doing something right!" Mason's father,- Professor Vil stated.

"Let me go check on my brother!" I whispered sternly excusing myself from the situation that waltzed right in, as I eyed Mason walking up to Damon. They nodded and spoke. I quickly dismissed the students to follow suit, but instead, I rushed to my office and locked the door behind me. I calmed myself. Breathed softly. I sat on the sofa and recalled our last argument two years ago when my brother left without saying goodbye. "I am sorry I can't do this anymore. Please don't follow me. I am doing this to protect the school. " He said as he rushed through the process of packing up. We broke up shortly after he was gone for over a month without so much as a phone call. And now that I am getting engaged he is back!  After all this time he has the audacity to show up.

"Stop dieting woman." I poked my sister who was having a subway salad. I took a large bite of my sandwich and then licked the sauce off of my finger.

"You've got quite the appetite. Huh." Mason smiled. He had a nice smile, it made the rest of my world go black and white while he was the only thing in hyper-realistic technicolour. I liked it, even though he was my sister's boyfriend.
