Chapter 3

3rd-person POV
   All Yuliy could remember from that night was being submerged in the water, holding onto someone while people around tried to help. His life flashed before his eyes, and then, everything went black...

Then, he heard (y/n) calling out to him.

"Yu..."

"Yul."

"Yuliy!"

~ Long Timeskip ~

   Yuliy opened his eyes, and didn't expect to see a young girl looking at him. She gasped and ran out of the room. "Daddy! Daddy! He's awake! He's awake!" She screamed as Yuliy laid there, and heard the door open.

"Hello there. I am Dr. Hanada." The man said as Yuliy sat up. "What happened?" Yuliy asked a bit dazed. "Well, I found you two near the water, you held onto your friend for dear life as she was bleeding from her shoulder." Dr. Hanada said.

Yuliy's eyes went wide as the Doctor continued. "You kept mumbling something. I believe it was the girl's name. (y/n)." He recounted as Yuliy looked at him, a look of fear and worry on his face. "Where is she?!"

The doctor was shocked, but nonetheless answered. "S-She's in the other room. I've already treated her yesterday. She woke up but right now she's resting. You were only treated for minor cuts and bruises." The Doctor said as Yuliy looked at the bandages around his torso.

"Even so, and I've told, uh, (y/n), but because of the circumstances, I've notified the police. I hope you won't think of me as a bad person." Hanada said as Yuliy nodded. Yukiy felt the weight shift on the bed as he saw the same little girl.

"Earlier (y/n)nee-chan did the same thing you did Nii-chan!" The little girl cheered as the doctor laughed. "She was scared for you too! And daddy had to help calm her down." The girl said as Yuliy blushed.

'Was she that worried about me?' He asked as he covered his mouth, face still flushed red. "That's my daughter. Saki." Dr. Hanada said as Saki hopped on the bed closer to Yuliy. "Is your name Yuliy?" The girl asked as the teen nodded.

"Are you foreign? Why is there one chunk of white in your hair? Why is your face red?" She questioned as the girl's father laughed. "Don't put him on the spot Saki." He laughed as Yuliy smiled.

"Mind putting away the dishes for me?" The doctor asked as his daughter happily smiled. "Okay!" She cheered as she grabbed the tray. "Well, I'll be off to continue my research." Dr. Hanada said as his daughter's eyes dulled a bit.

~ Timeskip ~

When the rest of the jaegers arrived, Fallon and Phillip stood outside of Yuliy's and (y/n)'s room, and further down the hall behind a corner was Saki, who hid from Fallon. "She's a bit cautious of us." Fallon said as Phillip scoffed.

"No. It's just your scary face that's making her scared." He said as Fallon, surprised, looked at the little girl, who in return, hid further behind the wall. "It's alright." A familiar voice said as the girl cheered.

   "(y/n)nee-chan!!!" The girl cheered as the two jaegers looked puzzled.

"(y/n)nee-chan? Wait (y/n)?" Phillip asked hopefully as he saw the familiar (h/c) haired female walk out with Saki in her arms. "(y/n)!" The two jaegers cheered as they approached her, Saki hiding her face in the crook of her neck.

"Aw Saki. Don't be scared. Fallon won't hurt you." She ushered as Saki looked at Fallon who kindly smiled and waved, and in return, nervously waved back. "See. You are really brave aren't you? Now go play. I'll see you soon." (y/n) said as she put the girl on the ground.
