Tchaikovsky meets the Air Buddies

Chapter 6

The next morning, while the sun was still rising, the gang was woken up by sound of someone repeatedly saying 'Omm'. It was Buddha. 

"What's the big idea?" Tchaikovsky groaned as he groggily started to wake up, while Wonder woke up from sleeping next to him. The two pups looked to each other and then blushed, upon remembering they had slept next to each other last night. 

"Buddha, come on. A girl needs her beauty sleep" Rosebud told her spiritual brother. "Who are you talking to, anyway?"

"I think he's meditating" Kali told the other pups.  

"That's correct" The spiritual golden puppy replied before continuing. "Absorbing positive energy"

"I'd positively like to observe a Pop-Tart" Budderball said while the pups came out of the tree to continue on their journey. 

"Buddha, come on. Let's go, bro" Mudbud called to his spiritual brother and he soon followed the rest of the gang.  

Meanwhile, the Recess gang had came down to the police station with Noah and Henry to try and get Sheriff Bob and Sniffer to help them. But like Sniffer told the Buddies before, he had lost his sense of smell. Even when the kids offered him some of the Buddies toys to try and sniff them out, he couldn't pick up any scent. 

"He doesn't seem to be getting anything" TJ said to Sheriff Bob.  

"What's the use?" Spinelli shrugged her shoulder, feeling like giving up. "There's no way he can track them"

"He'll pick up on something" Sheriff Bob told the kids. "They don't call him the Million Dollar Muzzle for nothing. Come on old boy. These young'uns need our help"

Sniffer tried sniffing best he could and soon started howling, heading off.  

"Looks like he's got something already" Vince said.  

"That was quick" Gus added, as they all started following after the bloodhound. 

"I knew old Sniffer would come through" Sheriff Bob told the kids. "He can sniff out criminals before they even commit a crime" 

Back with the Buddies and Tchaikovsky~

The pups came out to an open field while Kali got out her cellphone and held it up, trying to get a signal to call her friends up for help but there was no reception. 

Kali put her phone back in her pocket, sighing to the pups. "Well, I guess things can't get any worse..."

Suddenly, the bad guy's truck crashed through the fence and started driving after the puppies on the field. 

"Spoke too soon" The tomboy deadpanned, lowering her eyebrows while looking towards the fast approaching truck. 

"RUN!" The pups shouted and they all took off while being chased.  

"Didn't we just ditch these guys?" B-Dawg asked the gang while they kept running. 

"I know" Wonder agreed with her older brother. "How is it that they don't give up?" 

Luckily for them, the truck stopped, having run out of gas. But the bad guys came out with a net and continued chasing after Kali and the puppies, but they were way behind while the pups tried to make their get-away.  

Meanwhile, the Recess gang had made it into the forest with the others when Sniffer came to a stop in front of some bushes and started barking. 

"That's my boy. He's found something" Sheriff Bob said. "Alright you varmints, come out of there with your hands up, or I'm sending the dog in after you, and you ain't gonna like that"
