The pups and human kid ended up by a big stream where they had stopped briefly.

"Can't go over it. Can't go around it" Rosebud told the gang.

"Mudbud, I've got bad news. You're about to take a bath" Wonder told her muddy brother.

"Dudette, I'm already clean" The filthy pup replied. "I just took a mud bath"

"Looks like we're gonna have to cross" Kali told the pups, seeing they didn't really have a choice.

"On the positive side, there's no soap" Buddha commented.

"That's true" Tchaikovsky said.

"Cannonball!" the pups then went into the water, getting cleaned off in the process.

"OK, fine, fine!" Mudbud finally joined them.

After crossing the stream, the pups and girl kept going until they reached a deep part of a forest and stopped in front of it as it looked a little scary to them and they could hear an owl.

"D-Do we really, r-really have to go in there?" B-Dawg asked the others nervously.

"Don't tell me you're a scaredy-cat" Wonder teased her cowardly brother a little.

"We don't have a choice" Buddha told the others. "We have to go through the forest to get to Mom and Dad"

"He's right" Kali agreed, knowing they had to save Buddy and Molly no matter what the cost.

"Come on, guys" Tchaikovsky led the way, determined to help his friends save their parents.

The gang all headed into the deep, dark, forest, not knowing that they were being stalked by something. Kali did sense that they were being followed though, but tried to ignore it and kept a close eye on the pups. Although the tomboy was really cautious what was going on around them.

"I'm sensing this way is true north" Buddha told the others as they kept running through the forest.

"Well then, your compass is stone-cold busted, dawg, cause we just came from that way!" B-Dawg yelled in frustration.

"Hey guys, should we stop for lunch?" Budderball asked.

"Why don't you stop thinking about your stomach for once!" B-Dawg glared at his always hungry brother in anger.

"Dude, why don't you stop thinking about yourself for once!" Mudbud retorted.

"I don't even know why I bother with you guys!" B-Dawg started fighting with Mudbud and Budderball.

"Stop fighting!" Kali and Tchaikovsky tried to break them up.

"They're right" Buddha added firmly. "The only way we're gonna find Mom and Dad is if we work together like a team!"

Just then, the gang felt chills down their spines as they saw something come up from behind them.

"Guys..." B-Dawg said nervously. "I feel like someone is watching me"

"Dudes, he's right!" Mudbud whimpered.

The rest of the gang turned around to see two wolves behind them with their teeth bared, looking rather threatening.

"RUN!" The Buddies and Tchaikovsky all ran away in fear as fast as they could to get away from the wolves.

Kali however paused for a second, squinting her eyes while getting a closer look at these two particular wolves. One was yellow while the other one was gray. The adventure girl seemed to recognize these two wolves from awhile back family vacation to a national park in Canada.
