Sofia the First Start of Something More

Chapter 4

Queen Miranda's POV

"Wasn't that so cute?" Asked Stevana. I was a bit confused as to what she was talking about so I asked her, "What do you mean?" "Oh Sofia and Zandar of course! The way they stared at each other so lovingly!" Stevana answered as she stared into thin air dreamily.

"Oh that's preposterous Stevana, Sofia's only 15!" Roland added.

"Yes but sooner or later she will have to start courting." The king of Tangu pointed out.

"Oh that is an excellent point, I just can't believe its all happening so quickly...." I replied.

I then looked over to Sofia as she chatted with her friends, and that's when I realized that she really was starting to grow up.

Sofia's POV

After 'the incident' I headed over to Amber, Ruby, and Jade to find them giggling as they took glances in my direction. Instantly I was suspicious.

"What's so funny guys?" I asked casually.

"Oh nothing...." Jade replied as she tried to keep a straight face. She was failing miserably.

"Oh no! This is about falling down the stairs right? I can't believe I did that! How embarrassing, you guys have the right to laugh, I'm such a clutz someti..."

"Sofia stop rabbling! This has nothing to do with you falling," Amber interrupted with an eye roll.

"It has to do with the person who caught you!" She finished as she wiggled her eyebrows.

Zandar? What about him? Do they know I have a tiny bit of a crush on him? Oh crap.

"What do you mean?" I replied as I blushed scarlet.

"Eek! You totally like him!" Ruby shrieked whilst catching some attention from others nearby. As soon as Ruby said those words, Jade quickly clasped both her hands over her mouth. She then lead us to a corner of the ballroom so that we would be able to discuss this predicament more privately.

Once we reached the corner I began, "Okay I confess, I like Zandar. So what? I've liked him for 2 whole years now so why does it matter?" I said with a sigh.

"You've liked him for 2 entire years and you haven't told us?" Amber questioned with a hurt expression on her face.

"Look I'm sorry, but I've never liked anyone before so this whole experience is kind of new to me...." I couldn't help but blush as I said this.

"Well at least now that our information is verified, we can continue with our plan." Jade uttered cheerfully.

"What plan?" I questioned. I was getting mixed feeling from all of this.

"The plan of getting you and Zandar together! Duh!" Ruby said this as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. But at least I got one part right, this was either going to turn out great, or make my life a living nightmare.
