Dancing with the crows
But instead she stays still.
Barking at the dark
Instead of howling in the moon.
It's too much to yell
Since it's the pain that consumes her.
She shivers every night
But it peals at her skin.
A nail in her back
Finally they win!
The crows stay still
She's not very good.
But she doesn't really care because
It wasn't her choice to be put there
Now the world stares
But you best beware.
Though her hair full of straw
And her back attached to a pull
Someday she will make her goal.
It may take some time
For her to be free.
But when she escapes
She'll where a big red cape
For all of the world to see.
