He ended the discussion there, then took me home and left me with Katelyn and Travis. No matter how much I protested against his decision, he wouldn't have any of it.

His mind is set.

And part of me despises myself for loving that side of him.

Travis had to leave earlier, but Katelyn is still with me.

I explained everything to her and she listened carefully, giving her input here and there.

"What should I do?" I question, ending my rant.

"I'd say just let it happen. Laurance means well, and he could possibly make your life better by going this," Kate reasons.

"Or he could make it worse for both sides," I add.

"You never know until it happens. Besides, there's really no stopping him."

I sigh, "Yeah, his mind is made. I tried arguing about it with him, but he wouldn't acknowledge it."

"Some man you've got there, YN," Kate teases.

"I know, right? We're not even a thing and he's still doing this for me," I chuckle.

"He really does care for you," she says.

I nod at her words, "And same vise versa."

It's a few days later, and no word from Laurance.

I'm starting to get a little worried.

And further news, I still walk with a stumble and feel the sharp pain from the whip. Not very fun, but should heal completely sometime next week.

I clean the floors of the manor, and suddenly there's a knock on the door. Theresa rushes to get it, and I just continue cleaning.

"Yes?" Theresa asks impatiently, Ivy and Michi now behind her.

"Is this the residence of the LN's?" The messenger inquires.

"Yes, that's us. Why?" Theresa asks back.

"The royal family have requested a meeting with you at noon today. Not at the castle, but here. Dress formally," the messenger tells them before leaving.

The girls squeal as Theresa shuts the door, turning to her daughters.

"Ivy, this is your chance! You could win the heart of your prince!" Theresa exclaims, setting her hands on her eldest daughters shoulders. Michi pouts, but says nothing.

Ivy nods, "Yes, mother."

"Now girls, it's almost noon! Go get dressed!"

Ivy and Michi nod before rushing upstairs. Theresa turns to me, then grimaces.

"You better dress well, too. Don't want them to think anything goes on here, now do we?" She growls, and I shake my head.

"Go get dressed, then continue cleaning the floors," Theresa orders, and I nod.

Standing, I stumble my way to the stairs and slowly climb up. Once I reach my room, I notice my door is open. Furrowing my eyebrows, I step in the doorway and see Ivy and Michi holding my moms necklace.

Filling with rage, I yell at them, "Put that down! You have no right to touch that!"

They jump and throw the necklace to the ground, shattering it all over the floor.

My eyes widen as we all stare at it in shock.

I look up and glare with rage at Ivy, who had been the one to throw it. She covers behind Michi, who runs off past me. I let her go, but continue glaring daggers at Ivy.

"Ivy...I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU DID THAT! THE NECKLACE WAS MY MOTHERS, AND NOW IT'S GONE!" I shout with all my might at her, and her eyes widen. She even looks a bit scared.

"Well..sh-she's dead anyways! Who cares!"

That's the last straw.

I run at her and tackle her to the floor, not caring that she's a girl and I'm a guy. She destroyed something so precious to me.

She broke the last thing I had of my mother.

Ivy screams and I pin her to the ground, then punch her twice before I'm pulled off of her. That doesn't stop me from kicking her back to the ground as she tries to stand.

Tears are in my eyes from the rage and sadness I feel, and I don't bother to stop them from falling.

Theresa holds me back as Michi helps up Ivy.

"He-He's a monster! He just attacked me!" Ivy yells, pointing at me accusingly.

"YOU DESTROYED THE LAST THING I HAD TO REMEMBER MY MOTHER! YOU'RE THE MONSTER!" I continue to shout, louder than I ever thought possible.

I can't take it anymore.

This has been the final straw.

Theresa throws me to the ground behind her, then stands over me, "That's it, YN! I've had enough! You're being sold to America tomorrow night, and that's that!"

My heart drops, but I don't let that show as I retort back, "Anything and anywhere would be better than living with you people. It's a living nightmare being here."

That's all I have time to say before Theresa starts to beat me up, for one of the final times ever.

Tomorrow I'll be sent to America.

To be sentenced to death.
