Patient,
Love is
Kind.
Love is not
The hurt we make it out to be.
Love is not
What we are told
By the man we think we love
As he enjoys himself between our legs,
And we lay there feeling nothing.
Love is not
Him demanding us to tell him where we are.
Because he is worried
Someone will take his play toy.
Love is not
Worrying for our safety
Because he is drunk,
And angry.
Love is
Feeling safe.
Love is
Happiness.
Love is
Patient.
Love is
Kind.
