Chapter 3

                        Chapter 3

Some of the other secret agents on the FBI were in charge of getting information on the suspects. Thanks to them, it was reported that the drug dealer was going to a bar, seemingly alone, before he was scheduled to pick up his shipment of cocaine from the garage.

Jack and I were instructed to wear 'classy evening clothes' and had half an hour to get ready. The wardrobe in my room was already full of clothes to wear on missions and someone had given me all new makeup, the colours were matched perfectly to my skin, all I had to do was get ready.

I chose a short black dress that was quite low cut and my blonde hair was in a bun. My makeup was quite simple but I had a lot of eye makeup on and I was actually pleased with the result considering I didn't put this much effort into my appearance normally. Unfortunately I had to wear heels but I chose a pair that wasn't too high thank goodness and I was kind of liking the extra height considering normally I'm pretty short.

We were ordered to meet out the front of the building and I was the last one to arrive. Jack was dressed in all black; jeans, boots, t-shirt - all complete with his leather jacket. He looked hot and I blushed at the thought of him posing as my boyfriend for the evening.

"Damn. Annie," Jack said when he saw me, he was biting his lip and I had to look away to stop myself blushing.

"You don't look so bad yourself," I teased back.

Merritt cleared his throat and winked to Daniel who was too busy staring at me.
"Ready to go?"

Although the four of us were going to the same place, Jack and I travelled in one car and Merritt and Daniel followed behind. The other two waited in the car outside while Jack and I got out.

"Ready to smash...this?" Jack winked before getting out of the car. He was by my door in an instant and opened it for me, offering his elbow.
"My love." His dazzling smile was contagious and I accepted his arm.

We walked hand in hand into the bar and scanned the bar for our target. We spotted him quite quickly and were in luck because there were some spare seats next to him. Jack was a gentleman once again and pulled my seat out for me. I was next to Maximus Ramona and gave him a smile as he looked me up and down.

I was squirming inside but my smile didn't falter and I turned to Jack who had already ordered us drinks.
"One vodka soda for the lovely lady on my right,"

"How do you know what I like?" I whispered under my breath.

His eyes sparkled and he was determined not to break our act.
"A boyfriend knows his girlfriend well,"
He leaned in close and whispered in my ear which sent shivers down my spine.
"Also I may have noticed a few bottles of vodka in your room when I went in there once."

I rolled my eyes and smiled at him as we made small talk and drank our drinks. Our target was still sitting next to me when his phone rang. Jack had a microphone attached to the inside of his jacket sleeve that connected to Daniel in the car and I had a speaker to hear him through my ear.

Jack put rested his chin on his hand so that he could talk to the others without looking suspicious.
"Target located. Track the call."

"On it. Found the location," Danny's voice came through clear in my ear.

Jack excused himself to the bathroom while I listened to the call. Maximus Ramona confirmed to the person the other end of the call that he was ready to meet them and he was on his way to pick up the package.

"I'm back, babe," Jack said.
His hands on my waist were messing with my head and I had to remind myself that this was just an act. He was still behind me and I expected him to move so that we could follow Maximus Ramona who was just leaving but instead he kissed my neck slowly and spun me round to face him.

I was still speechless because we weren't being watched any more so there was no need for the act and yet he'd still done it. Jack winked and grabbed my hand as we walked out of the bar.
