Cadence West
I tapped my foot on the floor impatiently and crossed my arms waiting. "Come on" I said to myself before knocking on the door again.
I pounded on the door "Caiser" I banged. "Caiser" I yelled again.
The door flew open "What the fuck are you doing?" He poked his head out the door.
"I need to talk to you, I've been waiting out here forever" I said snappy.
He pulled me into his house "You loud as hell early in the damn afternoon." He let go of my arm.
"We haven't talked in weeks, we need to talk"
He smacked his teeth "Go talk to your baby daddy, or boyfriend. Which one is it?"
I rolled my eyes "That's not funny." He snapped his head at me. "I'm not laughing." He said with a serious expression.
"I honestly wish this was a joke. I wish my little sister didn't have a child and relationship with a married man. Is this one big joke?" He asked me.
I shook my head. I chuckled to myself "Right, this shit is real life." He shook his head.
"Caiser I'm sorry" I pleaded. "Cadence what's wrong with you? Do you have low self esteem. Like what's seriously wrong with you, that you think this is okay" he asked.
"Caiser stop" I put my hand up to him. "Cadence your beautiful, smart and capable of being with a man who loves you and isn't married." He slightly yelled.
"I know" I agreed. "You know? Then why did you do it? Why did you let it go on for so long?" He asked.
"I don't know Caiser. I didn't know he was married at first. And when I found out I ended it, I did."
"But?" He asked while sitting down. "But then he said he was going to leave her, and I believed him."
"So over four years y'all have been having a relationship while he's been married. And this whole time you thought he was going to leave his wife?"
"Yes" I nodded my head. I sat down next to him "I know I sound dumb but I really believed he loved me. I wanted Londyn to have a family with a dad. I was hanging on to the image of a perfect family."
He huffed "Cadence" he looked at me "Just because dad wasn't a good dad to you —-"
"Don't do that, this has nothing to do with dad." I interrupted him. "But it does C."
"Jamir is a scumbag but he loves Londyn and he's going to be there for his daughter. You have to believe me on that." He said to me.
"Look at me" he grabbed my face. "You're beautiful baby sister. Don't let a guy take you out if your character. Your going to find someone to love you. I promise." He pulled me into a hug.
He wrapped his arms around my neck. "I promise." He kissed my forehead. "You made a mistake but Londyn came out of it, so there's light out of this situation." He smiled at me.
"Well I'm done with Jamir. We're strictly co parenting." I said truthfully. "Is he with his wife?" He asked.
"Yes" I nodded my head slowly. "I think there going to try to work it out, but I don't really care." I shrugged.
