Words, broken with tears to mend

ringing

the telephone is ringing.

it won't stop.

he wants you back.

he says she's out of his life for good.

says your the only one for him.

can't stop to think of all the bad times spent with him.

of all the lies he told you.

he's crying.

crying for you to return to him, and to forgive and forget.

"it's not easy baby, please. i love you so much ."

tears roll down her face one after the other.

as the words come out of his mouth and not his heart.

"you said that before. you said you wouldn't call her."

she hangs up.

it starts ringing again.

it won't stop.
