The last two weeks were okay. He was still acting weird since the phone thing. I didn't want to pressure him to tell me but I tried to remind him I was here to help. I don't know if he got that though a so I just waited and waited.

I just felt like he was withdrawing from me. He would come in from work and go to bed and by the time I woke up he was gone.

To my surprise I woke up to see him today. He was sitting at the bottom of the bed quiet as I sat up. I quietly crawled over to him and sat behind him with both my legs on either side of him as I wrapped my arms around his torso. Maybe he wasn't ready to talk about it.

I laid my head on his back as he took a deep breath and touch my hands. For a second I was nervous he would move them but I relaxed as he intertwined our fingers. It all made sense once he spoke.

"It's her birthday" he whispered and my grip instantly tightened.

"My aunt told me she wanted to do something for her birthday two weeks ago and my mind just scattered" he admitted. "What do you want to do? We can go visit her if you want" "They decided to have a celebration at the house for her" "Do you want to go?" "I don't know" he whispered letting his hand run through his hair.

I knew he loved Michelle but maybe he didn't want to because it was still fresh. Going could be hard but I feel like he would regret not going too.

He didn't really want to be bothered with his family but he decided to go for an hour or so then go visit her. He kept quiet the whole time as he got ready and the drive there but, he said three words that made my heart flutter.

As we got out of the car, I quickly grabbed his hand smiling and he returned it . "Whenever you're ready to leave, let me know" I said and he nodded opening the door. He chuckled looking down at me.

"This was her favorite song" I smiled leaning onto his shoulder. "Your mom has great taste in music" I said as I recognize the song. As by Stevie Wonder.

"Cameron" Both our heads snapped to see a made a lady with dirty blond hair rushing over. She hugged him and smiled as he hugged her back. "It's been too long. How are you?" She asked pulling away.

"Good. Aunt Diane, this is Leah my girlfriend. Leah this is my aunt Diane" She gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek. "It's nice to meet you Leah" "Nice to meet you too" I said as a man came over smiling too.

"How's it going Cam" The man asked and gave him a hug. "Great. How are you?" "Just taking it one day at a time. You must be Leah" he said looking over to me and I nodded extending my hand as he shook it smiling. "This is my uncle David. My mom's brother"

"Okay well all of the women are in the kitchen. Let me introduce them to you" she said grabbing my hand and Cam grabbed the other one. "She's really shy. I don't want them to overwhelm her with questions and make uncomfortable" he stated in a hard voice.

"We won't. We just want to know more about her. Your dad told us amazing things about her though" she said and he looked at me as I looked at him smiling. "I'll be okay, catch up with your family" I said and he frowned a bit but gave me a quick kiss and nodding.

"So how long have you and Cameron been dating?" About three months I said leaning my back on the counter a little nervous. They did seem really nice though. "Really only three months? The way he was toward you leaving him seem like what it was atleast one year" Diane said and I shook my head. "No we've been friends since he moved here but we made it official in April" she nodded.

"Short period of time but I guess you can't help love" Another with black hair said for taking a sip of wine. "I knew I wanted James the first time I met him we're 22 years strong. They can make it" Marie said smiling.
