Can one world be so layered
That a whole city can hide away?
In the mountains of the north
Where the swirling auroras play
Blue and green on the dark snow,
A city perches in the sky
Its great pinnacles and windows aglow.
Their technology ever expands
Upward and outward into space;
Intelligence shines from all their eyes
And order from every face.
But beneath their superior genetics
A monstrous virus burns:
The reason no one from our world returns.
Roads paved with crystal
And glass houses filled with gold
House people who travel strange dimensions
And see the vast universe unfold.
Where progress is forever,
Where time flows without suture:
Hail Immortalys, the city of the future.
